Kindergarten Prayers!

Over this past summer I've prayer (a lot!) about this upcoming year as Noah starts at a new school at Bain Elementary!

I stand back amazed how many of my prayers have been answered!!!! WOW God. Once again you have blown me away! Thank you!

1. I prayed Noah would be excited about going to school. He ran in the first day not looking back at me, never once crying, and he had no idea where he was going!

2. I prayed he'd know just 1 person in his class, just 1. And 1 person it is. William. See this is how awesome God is. And guess what this same William is going to Sunny Days Afterschool with Noah and will be riding the morning AND afternoon bus with him!

3. I prayed that this teacher might have a little something of Jesus in her room. I looked over patiently waiting in line to meet her and behold on the bookshelf with all her reading books stands this book: "Story's from the Bible!!!!"

Noah is thrilled about his teacher. His main teacher is Ms. Hartis and he will have a student teacher for an entire year! 2 Full time teachers in the room all year long! And he also will have an assistant teacher Ms. Hill who we were unable to meet.

And talk about a welcome... I walked into Kindergarten Open House tonight and who walks out... My Kindergarten Teacher - Ms. Armstrong!!!!! She volunteers there and promised to keep an eye on my little man. And I also ran into my 6th grade teacher Ms. Drye!!! Both of us about cried thinking how much we're grown and how now her first student from her first year of teacher now has a child there. It's Ms. Drye's first grand-student!!!!

God I can't wait to see the next thing you've got in store for Noah!!!!

First day of Kindergarten!!!!

I couldn't believe this day has come... we are on our way to school at Bain Elementary!!! Noah was thrilled to start today. He ran to his link's and pulled off the last one screaming "Kindergarten!!!" We made him cinnamon rolls for breakfast, his request.

Of course we had to make time for pictures!

This summed it up for me...

And then we were off! We got into the car and as family we headed to Bain. We got there a little early to beat the crowds coming in and found a good parking spot. Just a few seconds later, we spotted out buddy Matthew!!! And from there I know today was going to be good for Noah!

We signed him in and then they asked them to get into a line and next thing I know he was off! And kindergarten started. I gave him one last hug and kiss and He said "mom".

After patiently waiting all day to here about his day, I got home. I speed home so fast to hear all about it! He said he had lots of fun! I asked him his favorite thing: Kindergarten! He liked everything about it!

Hangin' with Friends

We had our Sunday School Social tonight and I believe everyone had a blast! There was tons of food, lots of good conversations, and some games to play!

Seth with his good buddy, Owen

These 3 are such good friends! I love how they play together and how they interact around one another. They love hanging out together!

Colten, Seth and Owen

We played some fun games with the kids and one of the the person at the end had to dump water on Seth got water all over him! He didn't mind at all!

Next was the spaghetti challenge... they had to fill a bucket with noodles!

I think Noah was having fun!

And last, I filled some water balloons and let the kids have fun! They love throwing the balloons at one another!

And somehow at the end when I was trying to clean everything up, the boys made it into the mud! Yikes! Thank goodness for a water hose outside to clean them up afterwards before getting into the car!

We had a great time hanging out and I hope everyone else did too!

Picture Perfect!

When I got home, I was welcomed by Seth telling me "Mommy come look at my picture!" He was so proud of the painting he did at school!

He calls it his dinosaur. It's the most beautiful dino I've ever seen! And it's proudly displayed at our house!

Central Asia

Last Saturday, along with 8 other team members, Jeremy headed out to Central Asia to do some construction work with the missionaries. He had some long flights but they finally made it there.

The kids and me kept ourselves very well entertained and had a great time. The boys were super excited about daddy coming home. Disregard the sad faces, they were tired and it was 1.5 hrs past there bedtime.

Around 10:15, we finally saw an orange hat coming down the steps and the boys were excited to see Jeremy.

They were thrilled to have there daddy back!

Lions, Tigers and Bears. Oh My!

I love spending time with my boys! With Jeremy out of the country in Central Asia with the HGBC Team, I took a couple of days off work to spend with the boys. Along with my parents, we went to the Columbia Zoo!. They were thrilled! I started off the morning by running to get some donuts and then we packed our bags and headed out!

We saw some amazing animals!

And these 2 had a great time!

It was interesting... the flamingos sleep with one leg up and one leg down.

Seth enjoyed the elephants.

I love this picture of Noah even though it did not turn out well. He thought the gorilla's were awesome!

I enjoyed the zoo and I know we need to take Jeremy back there to see all the animals!

I built a fort for the boys to sleep in one night and they had a blast!

They were surrounded with flashlights and lots of blankets and they loved it!

Panning for Gold

We had a wonderful Thursday! We ventured out to Reed's Gold Mine and took a tour and panned for gold!!!

We got to explore all kinds of neat things!

We saw how they pull the gold out of the mills via a huge belt!

We walked lots of trails!

Crossed a HUGE bridge!

Went deep into a mine and saw some gold!

We climbed out of the mine!

And some really old machinery!

And saw a 24 lb gold nugget!

And then finally we panned for gold! But we did not find any.

But most importantly the boys had fun!!!

Countdown to Kindergarten!

25. 24. 23.

And we're counting down til Kindergarten in our house!

I created a little paper chain for Noah to tear off each morning to get excited about going to school. He's looking forward to it and so am I. I know he's going to love school and make lots of new friends.
