New Nighttime Routines

It's taking some time but we think we are getting the hang of getting 2 boys ready for bed each night. They both get a bath every other night... one in the tub and the other in the sink area. One loves the bath with bubbles (Noah) and the other is still thinking about how wonderful the bath is (Seth). One splashes around in the bubbles (Noah) and the other makes bubbles with his mouth in the bath (Seth). But it's a ton of fun getting 2 ready for bed!!!!
Boys before story time each night. Noah gets to pick out the book we read to Seth.

Noah loves a good bubble bath!!!

Seth not to sure about the whole bath thing.

Thanksgiving 2010

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had filled with family, food and rest!!! We ate TONS of turkey, stuffed ourselves with stuffing, and even did a little shopping as a family. (We had to get out of the house or else we were going to go crazy!)
Our Happy Family!!!... so thankful for the grown man to the left... Jeremy! Without him there is no way I could have gotten through the past few days. I've needed assistance getting up out of bed, driving me different places to get "stuff", and just help with both boys and he has been there all week long! Oh what fun we are getting ourselves into in the weeks, months, and years to come!!!

So thankful for this little "turkey" who came into the world 8 days before Thanksgiving. We are so thankful to the wonderful Doctor's and Nurses who helped to delivery him safely into the world without anymore complications then there already was. So blessed to have him apart of our family this year and many more years to come!!!

And our sweet Noah... so FULL of energy and tons of fun to be around. There is never a dull moment with this little one. He keeps us on our toes, reminds us of the little things to do in life, and a true joy to be around. He's an active toddler who is always on the go. He never sits still and sometimes refuses to listen but how we love you so much Noah!

Drs Visits

Today we went to the Doctor's office for Seth. We were almost late because I was taking to long and enjoying getting ready in peace and quiet. Thank goodness the office is not far from the house! Everyone went to the visit as a family and all behaved well. They said Seth is doing fabulous! He is growing well and a strong little baby so far. He did not get any shots! We go back next week for another check-up and weight check.

Seth and mommy... I'm wide-eyed and wide-awake!!!

Check out my weight as of today... 6 pounds, 2 ounces!!! He is eating 2 ounces every 3 hrs during the day and about every 4 hrs during the nighttime!!!

Cold scales.

1st Night home...

.... was a success!!! Everyone slept in the house (well at least by midnight everyone was in bed)!!! Noah did not get up once to Seth crying out for food. Noah did manage to fall out of the bed and we had to take care of that issue. We had yet to hear Seth really cry and well needless to say he cried out in discomfort from about 1opm to midnight. I eventually gave him a bottle and he settled right down and slept great til 7:30am only getting up once!!!! I on the other hand got up several times in pain from the c-section requiring additional pain medications. At the hospital they were nice and would wake me up when the time was ready for the pain pills but at home I'm in charge.

FYI: Noah is adjusting well to his new brother. He arrived home shortly after we did and requested to hold his new brother. We did not hesitate and he held his brother with a frightened look on his face (pics to come). As parents, we enjoyed every moment of it and of course cried with Noah holding his new brother. He's doing very well helping out with the little things. He's found Seth's new toys better then his own. Example: Noah never took a pacifier and now he is walking around the house with a paci in his mouth. Interesting.

It's a beautiful day here in Charlotte so we're headed out for a walk!!!!

And then there was four!!

It's official... we are a family of four!!! On November 17, Seth Jeremiah was born. He came into the world with a BANG!

(Scroll down to find the answer.)

The newest addition... our little family!!!

Seth did come into the world literally with a BANG! He gave Jeremy and myself a scare the night he was born. We arrived at the hospital around dinnertime on Wednesday evening and within minutes we had staff surrounding us to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. After only being in the Hospital for a a few minutes, the Physicians and Nurses realized we had a problem with the delivery process. Seth's umbilical cord was coming out before Seth was ready therefore limiting his blood and oxygen supply. We were immediately rushed to an OR suite type area where about 20 Nurses, Physicians, and Respiratory Therapists where there to assist in the delivery. Needless to say, Jeremy and I were clueless, scared, and confused as to what was getting ready to take place. We had a wonderful team in the room with us explaining to us what was taking place, why everything needed to happen so quickly, and what the next process was for little Seth. We were SCARED!!! At this point, Jeremy and I prayed and cried, not knowing if our little Seth was going to be "okay." There is a BIG God upstairs that watched over us and Seth the entire process. He was not breathing at first when he was delivered so they gave him some oxygen and within seconds we heard the noise Jeremy and I were waiting on... a SCREAM!!! God was there every step of the way! We were reassured our Seth was doing well and we had a miracle in our hands!!!
All four of us are doing well. Noah is adjusting and being a "big helper," assisting with diaper changes and feedings. He asks about his brother often and wants to see him every chance he gets.
Now for the answer from the top screen... Noah is on the left and Seth is on the right. They look just alike!!!!

Getting Big SO Fast!

Today we took Noah to the Doctor for his 2 year old check-up. He is getting so big so fast!

Weight: 28 pounds (50%)
Height: 34 inches (45%)
We really did not have any concerns regarding Noah and his development. He is a non-stop talker, runs and jumps everywhere, climbs on about anything, and eats whatever you put on his plate. Over all the Doctor said he looks great, keep on doing what we are doing, and see ya back in one year! We must be doing something right as parents!!! He did get 2 shots today and he was comforted afterwards with a sucker!

Happy Birthday Noah!!!

Today our sweet little boy turns 2!!!! We can't believe he's been with us for 2 whole years! He's such a blessing in our lives and we enjoy watching him grow and become a little man. He's developed his own personality, enjoys smiling at everyone, adores both his parents, and is a pleasure to be around. He has entered the "terrible 2's" stage and it can be trying for his parents but we will get through this stage. This morning we took him to breakfast to get his favorite breakfast food... french toast! And afterwards he had about 3 suckers to complete the meal! It is his day!!! Our plans for the evening include watching some of his favorite movie and possibly going to his favorite restaurant - McDonald's - for dinner. We look forward to many more years with Noah!!! and TONS more Birthday celebrations!!!
