29.5 weeks

Today was a fun day. I went to the Doctor's office for my Glucose Test and Routine Visit. My sister and I decided to go together since our appt times were so close. We get there to find out that the Doctor is running late. One hour late to be exact. The lab takes me back early to begin my Glucose Test. She handed my a 16-ounce thing of red drink and tells me to drink it in 5 minutes. I get the giggles and have a hard time drinking it and realizing I have to gulp this drink in 5 minutes. I take my first gulp and WOW it's so sweet and nasty and taste nothing like the Fruit Punch flavor she said it would. So then I decided in one quick gulp to get it all down. And now I have to wait an hour before they will run some blood test. Oh yeah in that hour no food, no water, nothing! Are you kidding me?!?! At this point I'm staring and would love to eat the pop-tart in my pocketbook. So I waited the hour, they took my blood and relief... FOOD!!!! Then finally we were taken back to see the Doctor. Everything is looking good with Baby Noah. He is growing happy and healthy. The Doctor says he does NOT expect him to be an 8-9 lb baby but instead small and he will probably come sometime between Dec 1-8, 2008. Good News!!! Currently he's got a strong heart beat at 143, kicking up a storm, and has only allowed mom to gain 2 lbs since the last visit 5.5 weeks ago. That's the best news ever!!!

The rest of this week should be super fun. I've got to work the next 2 days BUT I'm precepting someone starting tomorrow (and til the end of November) and I get to get off my feet some. I think the Nurse Manager had me in mind. At work when you precept, basically tell, show, and guide them the ropes of what a Nurse does. I won't be doing much of the labor work but instead she will be and I'll get to put my feet up some. God is so watching over this pregnancy!!!

And my first baby shower this weekend by my dear sister, mom, best buds, Brandi and Katie. I'm looking forward to a great rest of the week!!!

Noah's Room

Noah's Room is coming together. Jeremy and my dad cut out fishes the other week and I spent days taping, painting, re-taping, outlining, and more painting to get these fishes to look perfect. Our idea of fishes came from the bedding and I wanted to bring it to the walls. Of course there would have been no way to paint them onto the walls so cut-outs we thought would be the best idea. Here is the finished product...

The finished product on the wall above the changing table/ dresser.

And every new mom needs a comfy chair in the babies room to rock them to sleep. So here is my comfy chair. It's so soft and yes I can sleep in it if needed.

Happy Bday Nana!!

Today we packed out bags and headed to my Nana's house on Lake Norman for her birthday. She's still 39 years old and counting. She made us this awesome lunch... fried chicken, fried okra (my favorite), potato salad (my 2nd favorite), corn, green beans, and apples. And then dessert... pound cake!!!! It's always the best when we go up there. She makes way to much food so we get to divide the food among us. Dinner for tomorrow night is already prepared. Yippie!

We did not realize that it was going to be so hot down there. We went down there white and game back neon-red. We all had burnt faces. The guys had tons of fun messing with each other about the game. 28 weeks (almost)!!!

28 weeks and counting
I've almost hit the 28 week mark. It's getting a bit real seeing everyone else with new babies. It's hit me that soon we will have a little one around the house with sleepless nights. I hear fun stories about all those days. I've been feeling pretty good. My back tends to bother me some by the end of the day at work but other then that I'm fabulous. I realized earlier this week while driving into work that Noah does not like seat belts. I'm not sure what we are going to do about this issue when he is able to sit in a big person seat but we will have to think of something. I can definitely tell he is going to be an athlete of some kind. He's been practicing his field-goals and batting swings daily. Jeremy was able to feel him move all the way across my stomach earlier this week.

Morgan and Jay stopped by the house a couple of days ago and I snapped a picture of him. He's a cute one.

Rainy Wednesday

I just love the rain! It seems to make the air clean and makes me get tons of much needed rest. It's been overcast most of the day today and then finally this afternoon the bottom dropped out of the sky. I'm so excited cause it means I don't have to water any of my plants.

It's been a wonderful day off of work. Started out with a walk with my sister, Jay, and Sara. We walked about 4 miles today before we called it quits. (Got my exercise in for the week.) Then to the grocery store where Harris Teeter seemed to have tons of buy-one-get-one-free stuff. I love those kind of deals. And my little nephew stopped by the house today to play with the new toys I got for Noah. He was finally wide awake and smiling.

And to my fun art project... Jeremy and my dad went to the church's work shop and cut out fishes and circles so we could place them onto the walls in Noah's room. We painted the base coat on Saturday and today I did the painting details. I was on a roll. I've got to do tons of touch up from the painting mishaps but as soon as I get done I'll be more then happy to show them to everyone.

Congrats to Danny and Sara on their new baby girl to arrive in February!!! Noah and Jay will be fighting over a girlfriend.

Go Panthers!!!

Congrats Panthers on the awesome win this afternoon! We went over to a friends house where we watched the game and all bets were on for the last 2 seconds of the game. Thank goodness they scored or else everyone would have been so mad.

My husband has been looking forward to this weekend since last year ended. Football all day Saturday and Sunday along with Fantasy Football. He was clued to the computer watching all the games and the players he had choosen for today's big game. Personally, I don't understand Fantasy Football but it's fun for him.

Next weekend what game will be the talk in our house... Clemson vs. NC State. (Clemson please win so that my husband will be super super HAPPY!). So go Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a Name!!!

Jeremy and I finally have come up with a name for a our new little boy expected to arrive in Decemeber.

NOAH DAVID BELOTE

Both of our fathers names are David and Jeremy's first name is David also. It only makes sense to do have our son have the name David in it, right?!?! Noah has been extremely actively lately. He likes to start "playing" around 9 at night and gets even more active around 3 in the morning. Just in time to wake me up for work. They say those are the times they will wake you up at night to feed.

We've started the process of fixing his room up. Here is a mini-preview of Noah's room to come...

Noah's Crib

The Bedding... MiGi Splash! Gotta love the Fishes!

Jeremy and my dad are making cut out fishes and circles to go on the walls in Noah's room. It should be awesome once they get finished with it.

26.5 weeks and counting and Noah will be here!!!!!!!!!!!!!
