Memorial Day!

We had a fabulous Memorial Day!!! We started out by sleeping in which really is not sleeping in but it was nice to not get up at 5am to head to work. Instead everyone was up around 6:45am. We did some house chores and got all the laundry accomplished. Then we headed out to lunch at Cracker Barrell to meet some of Jeremy's extended family for lunch. They came in for the race and wanted to see the little ones before heading back out. We headed back home for some naps and then we got the call from some wonderful friends to join them at the pool! Not sure who was more excited... Jeremy and me or Noah. Needless to say it was perfect weather to jump into a pool!

Noah was a bit shy about the pool at first but he later opened up and had a good time... Lyla, Noah and Jeremy.

Jeremy, Seth, Chris and Lyla

And afterwards, we headed back to the Walter's for a mini-cookout. While we were preparing dinner, Lyla and Noah got a little "comfortable" on the couch watching Cars. It was cute!!!

Thanks Walters for inviting us over to hang out!!!!

Marvelous Monday's

What a great start to our Memorial Day Monday!!! Seth is thrilled to be alive and Noah is just wondering what in the world Seth is so happy about...

To be itty-bitty again!!!

Off to the pool to hang out with some friends!!!

Poor Baby!

Once again, I got the phone call from the school that one of our kids was not 100%. You always hate that call cause you don't know exactly what you're getting into when you get to them. They told us Seth had vomited 4 times and his cries were not the normal cries he has. Just pitiful! Breaks a mom's heart. So we played phone tag for a bit and decided who was going to wrap work up and pick up the boys. Jeremy picked them up and headed to the Doctor. In the mean time, I went over to the school to check on him and this is how I found him....

... sleeping peacefully! Once at the Doctors office, they decided he had yet another ear infection! Poor baby! They gave him a shot to help get rid of the infection quicker and to jump start the antibiotics. Jeremy said he barely cried and was consoled very easily afterwards. The entire time, Noah watched Toy Story on Jeremy's cell phone. So we'll be spending tomorrow at home getting better...

Supper Clubs

Last night we had our supper club over to our house. We had a total of 8 families over along with their kiddos. We got out all the water stuff and let the kiddos entertain themselves with the wonderful outdoors. I think they all had a blast!!! We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers while the kids jumped in the pools and the ladies socialized. The men enjoyed a game of cornhole. We all had a great time. I'm just glad it did not rain!

Seth enjoying his new found sitting up (and we found a new tooth in his mouth last night!)!

Noah checking out the new toys.

Sweet Jack loved every minute of the pool!

Noah and Sage having a mini-date.

Lyla and Jayden enjoying the slip and slide.

The men playing some cornhole.

and even the youngest, Cameron enjoyed the waterslide.

Everyone had a blast and we can't wait to go to another supper club meeting!

Happy 6 Months Seth!!!

My sweet baby boy turns 6 months old (yesterday)!!! I can't believe we've had the joy of getting to know him for a whole 6 months. He is such a blessing to our family and we enjoy having him around.

The stats are in from his doctors appointment today...

Weight: 14 pounds, 14 ounces (10th precentile)

Height: 25.5 inches (20th precentile)

Head Circumference: 41.75 cm (10th precentile)

He had a great doctors appointment today. He is right on track of where he should be. Just the other day he started to sit up with some support and can sit for short periods on his own. He has managed to try about 10 different foods and the ones he doesn't like I can still manage to get him to eat them by hiding them in other foods. The Doctor was pretty impressed at the "attempts" Seth was doing in crawling. I'm hoping he doesn't crawl too soon!!!

He sure can roll all over the place. We were given the okay to let him eat a little more soild foods. So at the dinner table we might start to let him have some puffs. He will eat anything you put in front of him.

Noah and Seth's new found fun times at home now consists of "swimming" in the bath tub. Earlier this week, we let them both in there and they just laughed and played together. It was a wonderful site to see brothers playing the way they did. Seth will kick his arms and legs around while Noah gets on his belly and tries to be a fish. Noah won't know what to do when he gets into a real pool and the water is a bit deeper!!!

Here is Seth's attempts at sitting up... he's doing so good at it!!!

We can't wait to see what the next month has in store of you Seth!!!

New Gadgets

It's the little things that can get one excited... Today after 2 and half years I finally got a new cell phone. Let's just say mine was very outdated and when I opened the back of it to get to the battery last week, there was spoiled mine attached to it! I had a flip phone and it was nice. It did everything I needed for it to do but my old phone had a major crack down the front of it, was getting difficult to send messages to others and pretty much just outdated. So I upgraded and I now have a smart phone!!! It's so exciting!!! I get my email on it and other different things with the Internet that I don't know how to use yet. I'm hoping I don't by accident purchase something on it trying to scroll down to look at something. But for now I'm enjoying my new gadget and all the "cool stuff" that comes with it!!!

Slip 'n' Slide

Look at these 2 cute faces I got to wake up to this morning!!!

Yesterday, the weather was nice and I thought it was time to bring out Noah's Easter present we gave him. So we got out the water hose and set the slip and slide up. Within minutes Noah's cousin, Jay, saw all the fun we were having and decided to join in. The 2 had a blast going down the slide. They didn't seem to mind that the water was a bit cold.

Splish, Splash, I was takin' a bath

We love bath time at our house for so many reasons...

1. The water is so nice and warm!

2. We get so fresh and clean!

3. We can splash around without any clothes on!

4. We like to be fish every now and then and so we try swim.

5. We love getting all dried off and our PJ's put on!!!

Bath time is exciting for everyone!!! But for some (Noah) they get upset because they know it's almost bed time but others like it (Seth) because they know there's more milk coming!!!

Oh to be mom... It's so much fun!!! The homemade cards, the hand prints on the cards made of little flowers, the beautiful gifts... it's fabulous!!!

Seth and Noah - I'm so proud to call you my sons! You both are extra special to me and I love you both so dearly. I could not ask for more wonderful children!!!

Expect the Unexpected

Where I work, things can change in an insistent. Like you can go from having a simple patient assignment in the morning to the most stressful assignment by the afternoon time. Or we can have 30+ patients at the start of the day and by the end there might only be 10 left but then the next day you get 15 admissions! It's a wonderful place to work but I've learned you have to expect the unexpected there. With my job, I have to work some weekends. And my weekends got very messed up this past 6 weeks of the schedule because of Easter and Mother's Day. Needless to say I was going to be working 3 weekends in a row!! The hubs was not thrilled and neither was I. But like I said, expect the unexpected and guess what happened.... a couple of days before I was supposed to work my first weekend, a co-worker wanted to take my Sunday and I in turn work her Monday. I jumped on that one! This weekend would have been 2 out of 3 and guess what happened... I was on call all day long!!! Jeremy was beyond thrilled and so was I. So the 3 weekends I was supposed to work, turns out it's only going to be one weekend.

I got to enjoy all my time with these 2 boys... they are such sweet hearts. They treated me to an early morning breakfast, a wonderful mother's day present, and the hubs even did all the laundry and other house chores while we played and had fun! I told Jeremy this was a great Mother's Day present from my work to be on call but he instead said it was an early Father's Day present for him since I was able to be at home the entire day!!!

Snack Choices

Snack time can be fun and difficult decision for many reasons. There are so many good choices in the cabinet and we just eat whatever is on hand. Well today for Noah's morning snack, he came out of the cabinet with "French's Fried Onions."

You know the things you put on green bean casserole. Odd snack but he loved it. He gets this snack choice honestly because the other day when we were making green bean casserole we were munching on them. They are a tasty snack!!!!

To be a 2 year old again...

So I have a 2 year old and well to be that age again can be very interesting. We throw tantrams almost everyday, we cry when we don't get our way, we put these pity faces on begging for more candy, we get a treat for using the restroom in the big boy potty, we change clothes on a regular basis just cause we can, we don't really have to do any chores just clean up the playroom, we get to take naps and sleep in sometimes when mom is off work, and we get to eat chicken nuggets for lots of meals. I mean what could not be better then to be a 2 year old. And Noah has done it all!!! But he's perfect in our eyes and even though he has his moments he's the sweetest little boy ever!!!!! Can we stop him from growing up on us???

Weekends...

Our weekend was one of rest and plenty of playtime. We started out Saturday morning by fixing up the yard a little... flowers were planted, grass was mowed and pine needles were freshly land into the flower beds. Personally, I think our yard looks the best on the block now. Then we headed out to a baby shower involving the entire family. My kind of shower! Noah enjoyed playing on the playground with Jeremy while I got to socialize with all my friends.

Noah has no fear of the slides...

Seth and me... he loved every minute of being outside.

The family of four!!!

After the shower, we headed home for naptime for everyone. Then we went over to Jeremy's sister's house, Amber to celebrate an early Mother's Day and a birthday. Seth enjoyed jumping...

And Dylan and Noah enjoyed playing in the bathtub with all the water! There was more water on the ground afterwards then there was in the bathtub!!!

Now Sunday we decided after church we were not going to leave the house. Both boys took 3 hour naps and we got to rest ourselves. We enjoyed the outdoors some and now the little ones are resting quietly in their rooms... shh don't wake them!!!
