Feeling Icky

I got the dreaded call today from Noah's school saying he had a fever and wasn't feeling very well. After getting all my patients at the hospital settled and "fixed", I headed over to pick Noah up with a lovely fever, not eating or drinking anything, and just not himself. I knew something this morning was not right when I dropped him off (motherly instinct). Off to the Doctor we went for the second time this week but with a different child. Diagnosis = Sinus Infection :-(. So after we left the doctor's office, we headed for 2 places: the drug store for antibiotics and chick-fil-a for a milkshake requested by Noah since he had not ate all day.

the boys and me... poor Noah... at least the Motrin is kicking in and making the fever go down! He fell asleep on our arms cause he was so exhausted!

Growing like a Weed - 4 Month Check-Up

The stats are in; Seth had his 4 month check up today and he is still a little peanut!

Weight: 12 pounds, 15 ounces - 15th percentile

Height: 24 inches - 25th percentile

Head Circumference: 40.5 centimeters - 15th percentile

He did so well during the visit.... He even showed the Doctor some of his tricks! He almost broke the Doctors finger grabbing hold of him. He followed everyone with his eyes around the room well. And he can hold his head up very well!!!

He was in a great mood until the Doctor said "3 shots today."

But he did fabulous and there was some snuggle and sleep time to follow the shots along with some much needed Tylenol. The Doctor also gave us the okay to start feeding Seth. So in the coming days, we're going to introduce him to rice cereal. We shall see how this will go...

And Noah, he did great during the Doctor visit also. He managed to get into my pocketbook and pull out the markers which kept him entertained for 15 min. Also he was treated to a sucker and a sticker for being so good!!!

Monkey Joes

A certain 2 yr old had TONS of fun today....

I surprised him and took him to the "real" Monkey Joes. Poor thing had never been before. He had a blast running around, climbing all the slides, and jumping in the bounce house. I think we'll have to take him back again!!!

Happy 4 Months!!

Yesterday, my sweet Seth turned 4 months old!!!

Seth is such a blessing to our family. He's a joy to be around. He'll light up a room with his smile and he enjoys lots of cuddle time. Seth is getting so BIG! About 2 weeks ago he weigh 12 pounds even. He is now almost sleeping through the night. He sleep anywhere from 8-10 hrs and then gets a bottle. He takes about 4-5 bottles a day and gulps them down!!! He's not afraid to eat! He is take better naps each day. The morning naps are not the best but in the afternoon he can sleep anywhere from 2 to 3 hrs! It's a blessing because it's my time to get a few things accomplished. He takes 3 naps a day: morning, afternoon, and evening. And when he's ready for bed, he'll let you know! Just the other day he rolled from his belly to his back... a first!!! He's become fond of his right thumb and will not take a paci no matter the effort we adults try to hold it in!

Seth we are so blessed to have you in our family!!! We are looking forward to more fun times with you!!!

Painting...

Tonight, Jeremy and Noah dove into painting a shirt for Noah to wear to school next week. Noah was so excited about helping Jeremy paint the shirt.

Currently, Noah is always asking if we're going to church so we decided to help Noah create a little bit of church and some of the things he's learned at church into the shirt...

Noah loved that his hands had paint all over them! what boy would not!!! He's learned a lot about his hands at church and tracing them so we decided to put his handprints on the shirt.

The finished product... it's a beautiful masterpiece!!!

Wonderful Wednesdays!

Typically, I'm off on Wednesday. Why I don't know but my schedule always works out to where I have Wednesdays off. It's a nice break in the week and it allows me to get some much needed "stuff" done around the house... laundry! While clothes were drying and washing we entertained ourselves very well...

Sacrifices

Over the past 4 weeks I've had to make so many sacrifices in going back to work. The hardest of them all is not getting to see the boys. I had to work this past weekend and it meant going 2 whole days without seeing them. Noah called when I got to work to wish me a good day and he kept saying "I love you mommy!" It melted my heart and made the day a little better. I always talk about the boys when I'm in patients rooms and I make sure to keep a picture handy to show them off! I'm enjoying today getting to hang out with them... but in the midst of it all Noah and I have had to do laundry :-(. Now we're off for a chocolate chip cookie and milk party!!!!

these 2 people are the reason my clothes always have spit-up on them, my coffee table always has little hand prints, and the toys are always everywhere!!! BUT we love every minute with them!!!
