The Big Boy Bed

Noah has moved up in the world to a semi big boy bed. He took a nap in it yesterday and slept great overnight. We're hoping this will help make the transition into a twin bed a bit easier!

The "Proper" Mechanics of Eating a Cupcake

1. Smile at everyone while eating the cupcake so they see how cute you are!
2. Make sure every inch of your face gets covered in chocolate, including your nose.

3. Who needs hands?!?!?!

4. Poking gets it underneath your fingernails therefore saving it for later.

And that my friends is the best way to eat a cupcake by Noah Belote.

Father's Day 2010

We decided to celebrate father's Day early at our house since we will be out of town. Wednesday was the chosen day!

We opened presents and then headed out to Carrabba's restaurant for dinner. Everyone has to have dessert afterwards so we visited Carolina Cremery for some Ice Cream to beat the heat. Noah loved the ice cream and so did we!
Hope it was a great evening!

Check out Noah's haircut I gave him... looks pretty good I think!

Improvements!

Noah is improving with each day! Thanks to these 2 individuals and things he is getting better...

We can't figure it out but Noah seems to light up when his cousin Jay comes around after surgery. Today after church he smiled bigger then we've seen him smile all weekend and they were just the cutest walking to the car. Maybe Noah's getting tired of his parents :-(. Also, Noah's newest best friend is Motrin! Thank goodness for this good stuff. It's managed to keep him going!

Surgery Day!

Today was Noah's surgery day for Tube Placement and Adenoid Removal!
He was a trooper! We had to arrive at the Hospital at 6:30am and woke Noah up at the last minute. Good thing he's used to getting up that early for school. We checked in and they asked us the all important questions about his History. While we were waiting he got a breathing treatment and he played. It was very hard to keep him entertained in a small space with no food or drinks! He survived it (and so did the parents!)!
Check Noah out.... He's a BIG boy now!!!

This certificate says that Noah successful completed the surgical experience but they also need to add that mom and dad survived the surgical experience!

He's wondering what they are getting ready to do to him!

Thank goodness for gloves that turn into balloons!

The fabulous Dr. Silver who performed the surgery. My parents know him well... my dad played softball with him over 30 yrs ago!!! At this point Noah had just received some "happy juice" but for some reason he was not happy! After receiving the happy juice he was relaxed. We got to walk him to the surgery area until we could not go any further... yes we both shed a tear leaving him! The Dr. came out after to let us know all went. The tubes were perfectly inserted and the adenoids needed to be removed... they were "mushy" but need to be firm!

And this is what a "drugged" Noah looks like.... he's resting well upstairs and we're hoping for a speedy recovery!!!
Thanks for everyone's prayers!!!

BIG day tomorrow!

We've got a big day in our house tomorrow... it's Noah's surgery day for Tube placement and Adenoid Removal. We are so nervous in our house. We have no idea what to except. I deal with these things on a regular basis but never my own child. We decided to make sure Noah had a great and fun day today. I got Popsicles at the store and let him have one and as you can see he loved every minute of them!!!

I was worried at first his hands might be stained green but it all came off in the bathtub!

Next stop on the agenda was the park to slide the slides and swing... boy was he excited! We got ice cream and took it to the park but Noah wanted to play instead of eat ice cream!

So serious sliding the slides!

We'll keep everyone posted about tomorrow....

Developments

Today, I went to Noah's daycare for his Developmental Milestone meeting with his fabulous teacher, Mrs. Marie. She is one a kind and Noah loves her. I dropped him off to observe him running to the lunch table for more breakfast. I guess I don't feed him enough at home. He's interacting so well with all the kids at the center. He learns a new word almost every day and his vocabulary is expanding so fast. He's a social butterfly and learns a new skill almost every day. As of right now even though Noah is 18 months old he is testing and developing right along as an 18-21 month old! Go Noah!!! Keep learning little guy!!!
