Monday Blues!

Where in the world is the sunshine that was here this weekend?!?! Noah was begging to go outside this morning since we spent almost all weekend long outdoors but it's too cold to take little Seth outside so we are indoors for the day :-(.

We started out our morning with tummy time...

and Noah wanted to join Seth on his own pillow.

then he thought it would be cooler to just sit right beside of him! oh my!

As soon as Seth went down for a nap, I had promised Noah we would get the play dough out and boy was he super excited. We made french fries, hamburgers, snowmen, curly hair, and tons more excited things. This boy loves some play dough and hated when it was put away. I promised him we'd pull it out again!

Not sure what he was making here but the hour we spent with the play dough was his favorite part of the morning...

Beautiful weekends!

What a weekend!!! We had a wonderful and fun time all weekend long. It's been beautiful here in Charlotte and we enjoyed the outdoor weather as much as we could... we rode our new car, took walks, and mowed the lawn! We ventured Saturday morning to Concord Mills so Noah could play on their play stuff and hangout until it got warmer outside. And guess who found the Disney Store... Noah! Oh. My. Goodness. He was in 2 year old Heaven! He's into the movie CARS and TOY STORY and they had tons of stuff in their for both. He found the "Lightening McQueen" car and well we decided to get it for him and it's been his best friend for the past couple of days. Who knew a tiny car would go everywhere with him! We celebrated Noah's "girlfriends" Birthday this afternoon! He had so much fun and the weather was perfect!

Well this is my last week of maternity leave :-(. It's sad and bittersweet. I'm going to miss tucking the boys in each night to bed and getting them dinner. Jeremy will be in charge of them for 3 days out of the week! To all of my co-workers: I'll be the one running to get out of work each night to get home to kiss my kiddos good night!

Play dates!

Noah always get super excited to hear he gets to play with one of his buddies. Earlier in the week, we got a call from Chandler's mom asking if he could come play. We didn't pass up the offer and Noah and Chandler had a blast together!!! They ran around the house, pushed the lawn-mower, played with Buzz, and ate gummy bears. I can tell they are doing to be best buds!

(**this past Wednesday night when we went to church, Noah was asking to go to church and see chandler. and he did not stop talking about chandler all the way home or this afternoon!!!)

Family Fun!

Today we ventured up to my Nana's house (or as Noah would call her "Nina"). We packed our bags and suit case full of toys and headed out bright and early. Noah was thrilled to be going to see Nina because she lives on the lake which means he gets to see the boats he loves so much. We socialized, Nana held Seth almost the entire time, and we had a great homemade lunch! Secretly, I think Nana loves having her great-grandchildren come to see her. It means she gets to spoil someone. Noah ate TONS of M & M's at her house!

and now everyone is off to bed! We put Noah down early tonight; he woke up at 4:45AM (yes that is correct, and no he hardly ever does that only since Seth has arrived) and for some reason he would not nap this afternoon. So I'm hoping to sleep in tomorrow... 6:00am sounds good to me!!!

Weekend Review

We've had a great weekend at our house! It started off with Jeremy and myself having a date-night on Friday evening and ended Sunday by watching Sunday Night Football!

In-between all that we cleaned the house and everyone helped from Noah to Seth. Noah has a mini vacuum and dust cloth and we put him to work. He doesn't seem to mind! Everyone took good naps on Saturday and on Saturday evening our dear friends, Kit and Amanda, brought their niece over to hang out with Noah. Amelia has a 3 day old new brother and Noah has a 2 month old brother. They enjoyed playing with each other! We got to sleep in on Sunday morning because we did not have early service; instead we recognized our Senior Pastor who retired last month. It's sad to see him go but exciting to see where he is going!

On tap for this coming week is getting prepared to go back to work :-(.

Unproductive Days

So the only thing productive we did in our house today was both these 2 boys got a smell good bath! They both needed it after either spitting up lots or somehow managing to get pudding all over the place. The best part is they both smell so good after they are done!

Noah's new thing now is when you ask him to smile he says "cheese" but without the smile! Oh well!

Getting SO Big!

Today was Seth's 2 month check-up. He's getting so BIG!

(Excuse me mom but I really liked my warm clothes!)

Height: 22inches (20th percentile)

Weight: 9 pounds, 12 ounces (15th percentile)

Seth is right on track with his growth and development. The MD was impressed with how well he can hold his head up, how alert he is, and the fact he can show his temper almost on command. We had some concerns related to how Seth is eating and we addressed them with the MD. Luckily, our concerns were concerning enough to the MD to place Seth on some reflux medication. We're hoping that with this new medication he will sleep better during the day, might not be so fussy during the daytime, and overall be a happier baby. Poor guy has been refluxing and thank goodness the physician witnessed it first hand in the Dr's office today. Overall, Seth is right on track with everything. New month we should see him continue to be more alert, be more aware of people around him, track with this eyes, and attempt to start reaching out at objects. So Seth keep on growing.....

i just can't believe...

that my baby is 2 months old today!!!

it feels just like yesterday that we were in the hospital about to give birth to you.

Seth - you have a personality of your own. You can scream and cry with the best of them and then you can play so content without anyone around. Sleep is not your best friend during the day time. You would rather see what I am doing or just play some more. You are eating better each day. Right now you're eating about 5 ounces every 4 hrs during the daytime and at nighttime you can't decide how frequent you want to get up either every 4 hrs or stretch it out to an 8 hour . You're getting so big and we'll see exactly how big you're got in the last month very soon. You look more and more like your brother each day. We are so blessed to have you apart of our lives and we can't wait for what the next month has to bring!

Things that make ya go hmmm...

We've been snowed in for the past 2 days and we are about ready to go crazy in our house. Well mainly the kids and I are about ready to go crazy. Jeremy has to go to work in this mess since he works at the hospital. Normally I would be working as well but since I'm still on leave I've been enjoying my time off safely in our house. On another note, you see the car suitcase in the above picture with Noah, well it has been toted around this house the past 2 days and honestly I've tried to hide the suitcase but he finds it every time! We got Noah the movie CARS for Christmas and the suitcase happens to be the main character Lightening McQueen from the movie. He has carried this suitcase all around the house. For most of Monday, he rolled it upstairs until I went downstairs to get Seth a bottle and behold the suitcase along with Noah came down the steps. He even had to take a nap with it on Monday. Just imagine sleeping with a suitcase beside of you in bed! Today, I heard a big crash coming down the steps and what was it, the suitcase along with Noah not far behind. He wants it beside of him when we watch a movie, when we eat, when we were cleaning the upstairs he pulled it to every room, and he carries all his toys/ food around in it. Whomever got him this suitcase, well he likes it and I on the other hand am getting tired of seeing it pulled around the house. So I'm hoping secretly he does not find where I hide the suitcase tonight!!!!

(Hopefully no one finds that I'm being a mean mom! - just someone tired of carrying a baby and a suitcase everywhere!)

Snow Days!

Well it snowed once again here in Charlotte. Funny thing is I was up with Seth at 3am and there was no snow, no rain, nothing on the ground and we changed Jeremy's alarmed clock to a later hour. Well wrong then to do cause Jeremy woke up at 4:30am and oh my gosh the grounds were covered! I was amazed how much came down in such a short period of time. When Noah woke up I took him to the window to see the pretty snow and he liked it of course. He did ask this time to go out in the snow and knowing I'm the only parent home today with 2 kiddos and one being a 7 week old, I knew I would not be able to go out. I bundled the little man up and Aunt Morgan and Jay came over to take Noah outside. He only last about 5 min but I was able to capture a picture of them outside in the pretty white snow!

These are the days I wish I did not work for the Hospital and I could stay home and enjoy the snow with the kids. Now I'm hoping the hubs will not have to stay at work tonight and can make it home safely! We packed him a bag of clothes just in case he got stuck at the Hospital... for my sanity I think I would like for him to come home!!!

Splish Splash!

Both our boys seem to LOVE bath time! They each could sit in the water for hours.

Seth sits so calm in the bath-water and could sit there all night long. He likes it when you drizzle the water over top of his head. The best part.... he smells so good after a good clean bath!!!

And Noah, he's a fish in the water. Also wanting more toys to play with and bubbles. Most of the time he looks like a prune when he gets out of the water: all wrinkled!!!

After everyone is bathed, lotioned, and dressed, we all pile into Noah's room on his bed to read a book and say our prayers (and the blessing - Noah enjoys food so much he wants to thank God even at night time for all the food he's ate throughout the day!)

Someone was not thrilled to be held by his brother but his brother really wanted to hold and give him a kiss good-night!

So i guess this is what it's going to look like whenever I try to take a picture of 2 kiddos together! One will be looking at the camera while the other could care less! Oh well!! it's a memory and it's 2 of the sweetest boys ever!!!

Very uneventful day at our house... mopped the floors and that's about it. I know exciting right!?!

Look at me! I can hold my head up during tummy time!!! Now if only we could figure out why you like to cry so much during the afternoon hours we'd be great!

And someone finally decided his Woody hat that was supposed to be worn for Halloween is not that bad after all.

This little one can sometimes be hard to handle. He's nothing like Noah and has a temper like no other! He will scream for no reason at all. But when he is calm he's the sweetest thing around!!!

And daddy doesn't mind lovin' on his boys when he gets home!

Goodbye 2010!

2010 was a great year for our family!!!

We smiled a lot!

We played in the snow with our cousin.

We huged on each other.

We hung out with tons of cool friends.

We went on vacation to the beach.

We had "major" surgery.

Once again we went to the beach.

we played outside in the water.

we moved up to a big boy bedroom.

we had fun eating ice cream.

we loved hanging out with our friends.

we made funny faces.

we went to a cool and fun wedding.

we had a fun birthday party with tons of friends.

we had a firetruck come to the house.

we went trick or treating.

we got a real haircut.

we turned 2!!!

we loved on one another.

we welcomed a new addtion.

we now have 3 men in the house.

we loved on our cousins.

We're looking forward to 2011!!!!
