I love Sundays....

At our house, everyone loves Sundays. This morning was no different. I'm normally the first to rise and get ready so I can help everyone else get dressed and out the door. As I was getting Seth fed and in his Sunday Morning clothes, I hear Noah scream out from his room "mommy come and get me. I go to church and see my friends." I love it!!! To hear a 2 year old say those words gets me excited. We also asked who Noah would see at church and he said "Jesus." We must be doing something right as parents because he sure does love going to church each Sunday!

After every one's nap this afternoon, we headed to a birthday party! Noah had so much fun! They had all kind of jumping things and even a bounce playhouse for him to jump on!

Noah really enjoyed swinging and falling to the ground afterwards.

And then we came back home and we could not resist this beautiful weather. Noah asked to go outside so we went on a walk and picked up Jay on the way... (do you see trouble with these two?)

Sweet Seth... he's feeling so much better after getting the antibiotics on board. He's been smiling, and cooing, and having a good day. He even slept through the night last night... 7:45pm to 6:30am... that's a first!!!!

We're looking forward to the warmer weather this week and can't wait to go outside and play more this week!

Runny Noses

Well, we made our first sick visit to the doctor's office today. And it was for Seth... he has his first official cold with an "almost" ear infection. For the past couple of days, you can tell he's not been 100% and I was doing things at home for him but this morning I went with my mommy gut and took him to the doctor. I was so glad we did because she said he was getting an ear infection and glad we caught it early so he'll start feeling better soon. He also developed a nice rash overnight that was starting to cover his entire belly:-(. poor little Seth!!! But he's resting comfortable in his crib and has been sleeping through it all so well. So we're off to get antibiotics and start breathing treatments on the little guy.... get well soon Seth!!!!

After helping Noah plug in his firelight, I heard him scream out "fire, fire!!!"

Terrific Tuesdays

Even though I had to go into work for a few hours, our Tuesday ended pretty terrific! I picked the boys up right before their naps and we headed home. I thought for sure after playing outside and running around Noah would be exhausted but I was wrong. Instead, he insisted on singing "happy birthday" to one of the toys in his room, jumped on his bed, pulled his pants out of the drawers in order to attempt to reach his toys at the top of the dresser and never once did he fall asleep. After, I endured listening to all of this about an hour and half later I went up stairs to get the little guy. He told me he just wanted to play. Well he did get scolded for not calming down to take a nap but by this point I knew a nap was not going to happen. I let him stay up while I finished a few things and he ran around downstairs and played. Needless to say, Seth slept the entire time... all two and a half hours!!! I mean this kid slept! And when he got up, Noah and I got to play with this sweetness...

After we were done playing outside and inside this little one passed out!!!!

They are so peaceful when they sleep!!! Melts your heart!!!

The first illness

Seth has experienced his first "cold" ever! He has had an extremely bad stomach ache since Wednesday and once we thought it got better, we were wrong. It continued through the weekend and today we think he is on the mends. Through it all, Seth has managed to smile, laugh, and sleep. Jeremy took care of him this weekend and he survived the worst of Seth's illness. We're been doing lots of cuddling, walks, and just making sure he stays hydrated! We're hoping he gets better soon!!!!

Lovin' the Weather!!

Our little family is enjoying this beautiful weather!!! I got Noah up from his nap the other day and he told me he wanted to go get his shoes and go for a walk! That's my boy! We used to take walks all the time, just the 2 of us before Seth and now he gets to join in on the fun!!!

Little Seth just likes to relax and hang back as Noah runs all over the neighborhood. He either pushes his lawnmower, throws his football, or bangs the tennis racket on the ground!!!

He was pretending to play baseball with the tennis racket and football! But he's letting out some energy and therefore getting a great night sleep!!!

And we're back outdoors this afternoon once everyone wakes up from their naps!!!

Happy 3 Months Seth!!!!

Today my sweet Seth is 3 months old!

Yes I know, I can't believe it myself that he has been with us for 3 months. Let's see what you are up to.... you have found your hands just recently and you enjoy pulling them towards your mouth; in the last few days you're had your first cold complete with a runny nose; you started daycare and you really enjoy it!; you sleep anywhere from 8-10 hrs a night!!!; you take 6 ounces about every 4 hours during the day-time; and you have started to smile at us which we love so much!!!!

We know these 2 will be best buds!!!

Happy (belated) Valentines!

I made it home just in time from work to here 2 sweet voices say....

I love you mommy!!!

Luckily, I've managed to get home around 7:30 or so each night I've worked. Now most of the time that is few and far between but God has orchestrated it so I could make it home in time to tuck both boys into bed!!! And I've enjoyed tucking them into bed and saying the prayers with Noah. After it's all said and done he always shouts "I love you!!!". Now I'm hoping I can always make it home in time to tuck them into bed but for now I'll cherish each moment I get to spend with them!!!

Milestones...

We have hit some HUGE milestones in our house this week relating to sleep... Seth started out the week sleeping til about 1-2 am-ish and getting a bottle then going until morning time. Then the past 3 nights he has slept past 3am!! And just last night he slept from 7:30pm to 5am!!! Honestly, I did not wake up one time until about 4ish and realized he had not got up yet! So I also got some awesome sleep. Maybe we are on to something and someone might start to sleep all night long. Just about 1-2 more hours and he's set!

UPDATE: Seth even slept in his crib during both naps today!!! He took a 1.5 hr nap this morning and an almost 2 hr nap this afternoon!!!

Wednesday

My first day back to work went well. I had no idea we have been so busy at work! We had a full house and I elected to not take my entire lunch break so I could make it home to Seth and Noah. I pulled in the driveway at 7:35pm and they were standing at the door waiting on me! Sweet Noah kept asking Jeremy "Where's Mommy?" He could not understand I was working and would be home later. It breaks my heart but at least I know he's wondering about me. They both did well at daycare but came home with different clothes then what they started in! Noah now kicks me out the door at daycare and he thinks it's super funny! Seth goes into his crib where he falls back asleep if we're lucky. Today, Noah is very insistent he has to go potty. So much so he went and grabbed this from the bathroom....

Of course he did not thing in the potty seat but at least he's got an interest. I did tell him if he did something he got a special treat. That excited him!!! We'll see what happens and if he is ready but for now, he's staying in diapers!!! ( in other pictures he was smiling but they were not appropriate to put on here! - don't want to embarrass Noah)

Seth's First Day @ Daycare

Today was Seth's first day at daycare. Both Jeremy and I went to drop him off to make sure he had everything he needed. The night before we prepared all the bottles, got all his diapers together, and had extra changes of clothes ready to go. Seth was up bright and early at 5:40 to head out the door...

Seth and Ms. Maxwell in the Kangaroo Room where he will be for the next year. I'm hoping he'll meet tons of new friends like Noah did!

**I picked Seth and Noah up around 2pm today and they both had a fabulous day!!!**

Seth - he slept in his crib at school for more then 30 min each time, ate well, and they said he really on cried when he needed something! Such good news for the first day at daycare.

Noah - he moved up to a new room this week as well; it's the room where he can start to potty train :-). He said he had a great day and enjoyed playing with new toys and some old friends!!!

round 2 @ McDonald's

After nap time, we were back at the exact same McDonald's for a birthday party (the things you do for a toddler!). But don't worry there were TONS of kids and fun to be had! Noah had a blast helping to celebrate Miss Olivia's 2nd Birthday!!!

so we're had a great day... all 5.5 hrs spent at McDonald's. i would have to say it was something different that we don't do. tomorrow starts detoxing Noah of all the McDonald's food he's ate today!

Saturday Morning we hopped in the car and headed to McDonald's for breakfast with some friends. Sadly the friends were unable to make it but Jay and Noah had a great time hanging out and playing!

McDonald's was a great place to be on this cold, rainy Saturday Morning!!!

and we're headed back to the exact same McDonald's this afternoon for a birthday party. Hopefully the boys won't mind going back...

Noah adores his little brother Seth. Jeremy and I were talking last night and we are so amazed how well Noah has adjusted with the new addition! He loves on him, helps out when needed (not always), and has become more independent.

I sat the 2 of them on the sofa and wanted to take a picture and next thing I know Noah is lovin' on Seth!!!
