Sundays!

Sundays are always the best! Relaxing around the house and getting everything together for the upcoming week. Each Sunday Morning, it is a priority in our house to attend church. We want Noah to know he has 2 Father's who love and care for him so much. He enjoys Sunday School. These are 2 of his favorite SS Teachers. They love and care so much for him. We remember the first time we dropped him off in there.... we were so nervous but they make it so comfortable for us!

And finally we got a little more pool time in on Saturday... but for some reason he only lasted about 15 min in there before he wanted out. We'll have to find some more toys to put into the pool to play with him.

Family!

We packed up our bags and headed to Lexington, SC last night to celebrate Jeremy's Granddad's 86th birthday. Everyone got to meet Noah for the first time. He was such a trooper! He slept the entire time driving down there, ate dinner with everyone and then played in the sand after dinner was over. He enjoyed it all and so did we!

Alex, Amber, MawMaw, Aunt Jackie, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Sandy and Great Granddad with his girlfriend

Pool Time!

I honestly thought today was supposed to be nice so while Noah was taking his afternoon nap I got his new pool together with toys included for him to play in after he woke from his nap. We got diapered, sun screened, and bathing suit on when 15 minutes into the pool time the rain came. I mean the rain came and super hard. He was having so much fun playing in the water and even cried when I took the swimming suit off. Poor dude. I promised him that on Saturday we'll do it again but minus the rain. Here's some pic's from the 15 min we were outside...

Boys Just Wanna Have Fun!

Boys just wanna have fun! That's all there is to it. Noah loves to play, roll around, sit up and have some good ole fun with family. Today, we ventured over to Grammy and gramps's house for a cookout. The boys were a little tired from Sunday School but they both had so much fun playing together.

Noah telling everyone: "Please will someone push me around on this thing!"

And Jay said: "I'll do it for you Noah." Jay and Noah had so much fun together. The two of them wrestled, played in the grass, and pushed each other around with their toys. They are going to be good buddies when they get older.

Jay and Noah laughing at who knows what. Silly boys!
Afterwards, Noah needed a good cleaning. We decided to try something different... a bubble bath! Boy did he have fun! Here he is in the mix of all the bubbles playing with the bath toys.

I think he is trying to tell me that he wants more water in the bathtub but we were to afraid to fill it to high for him.

Just playin' in the bubbles!

Nature Walks & a Load of "Crap"

Noah and I decided to go on a nature walk this afternoon and boy did we have some fun!

Start strolling mom I'm ready to get this nature walk on a roll!

We stopped and played in the grass. He really enjoyed it. The bugs crawled all over him but he didn't seem to mind. He learned that the grass is green, it can be itchy, and it's fun to touch and play in.

Next stop was the flowers. We smelled all the pretty flowers all over the neighborhood. Our favorite were from the magnolia trees. We even took some off the trees to take home with us. We saw the red roses, the yellow/ white/ orange ones and we also touched the leaves on a BIG tree and felt the bark.

We made it home and put out flowers in a vase to enjoy!
And last...

This is how much "crap" Noah manages to give us every week!

Just Chillin'

We love to hang around our house and relax. Noah had a wonderful weekend. His 2 new teeth have come through so we are over the fussiness for right now. He's been such a sweet little boy playing and playing some more. The other day he wanted to play and not eat his bottle!

Loving bath time... He loves to get into the water and play. We're hoping this is a good sign that he'll like the ocean water.

Good times with daddy.

Hanging out in the playroom with all my toys around me!

Favorite Subjects...

Noah got a hold of the calculator the other day... I'm thinking he might like Math when he gets to school. (I know your aunt is so excited!) He loved to chew on it and punch all the numbers. I'm going to have to see if they have more of a child friendly version. Right now anything that can fit into this little guys mouth goes into it.

I've got 2 teeth coming in on the bottom!

Darn Teeth!

Who would ever guess that teeth could cause someone so much trouble and discomfort? Noah has not been a happy camper the past few days because come to find out he's getting 2 teeth. I thought I saw last week little white areas on his gum line and then low and behold on Tuesday there it was... the top part of a tooth! The little dude has been waking up during the night, calling out to mom and pops and just wants to be held during this time. The cool part to all this is he loves to get his teeth brushed right now. I'm guessing it feels good to his little gums. I owe a big thanks to some Tylenol and the Graco swing for right now! Thanks guys for helping us out right now! From Noah a little dude that is teething.

Mother's Day 2009

Happy Mother's Day! (2 days late- oops!) I hope everyone had a fabulous Mother's Day. Jeremy, Noah and I celebrate it a little early. We went out to dinner on Saturday night - Outback! - and enjoyed the night as a family. Noah got me the coolest gift: a canvas picture of himself to hang on the wall. I guess he can read my mind cause I really wanted a canvas picture of that exact picture. It's one of his best pictures that I took when he was 4 months old and it's the sweetest. The boys also surprised me at work on Mother's Day. Jeremy brought Noah up to work in his Clemson attire and gave me a gift card to go shopping at Old Navy. Love it! It was great to see them at work and to show him off to some co-workers who had not met the little guy yet. We had a wonderful time celebrating with each of our families and are so grateful for each of our mothers.

6 months & Growing

Noah is 6 months old today! So many new things have happened in the past few weeks...

1. He is Eating like a champ! He loves meal time and has enjoyed all the new foods we have given him. His favorites are the fruits but Mac & Cheese is not far behind.

2. He is learning to sit up. The other day is sat up in the grass for about 5 minutes. If you put toys in front of him he tends to fall over but his back is getting to strong.

3. He got his first serious cold and was hospitalized for it. We were so scared!

4. He is grinning even BIGGER and we love every minute of it!

5. He is starting to know who he is.... when you call his name he looks at you, when you put him front of the mirror he is very interested in himself.

6. He loves his parents so much! He gives us the best smile very morning when he wakes up. We don't care anymore if it's early cause the smile is so priceless that he gives!

What's going to happen next? Who knows but we can't wait to see Noah get bigger!!!

Check Noah out... he's riding in a cart at Marshall's and loved every minute of it!

Dr Appt update: Weight: 16 lbs, 6 oz; Height 25.75 in. He's doing very well from his hospitalization last week.

SO Glad this week is OVER!

As you might remember, this week started off with a bang and continued to get more interesting. Wednesday was a great day; Noah played so well all day long, showing no signs of being "under the weather." But Thursday morning he started with a small cough when I was getting him out of bed to take him to daycare. I asked the teachers to keep an eye on it and they did. At 1pm, I got the call saying Noah had a low grade temp and we'll re-check it for you and let you know about it. Well I finished some things I was doing at the hospital so I slipped away for a second to go see my little man and make sure he was okay. When I reached the daycare Noah was flushed, temperature up and not looking great at all. I called my fabulous co-workers and asked "would ya'll mind checking on Noah for me?" Without hesitation they did. THANK GOODNESS THEY DID! The little guy was breathing 80 times per minute, wheezing, retracting, and had a fever. Not what a mom wants to hear. The ICU doctor felt it was best to keep Noah over night to observe him. Oh course I did the mom thing and cried. But knowing we are doing the right thing by watching him overnight here. He got a breathing treatment and other tests were run; all came back negative!!!! Officially diagnosised with bronchitis... a virus! He continued to run fevers during the night so by midnight he got the workup... an IV, IV antibiotics, and blood/ urine cultures. Through it all Noah was a champ! My co-workers were awesome! They took such great care of us and I love each one of them! By morning we were ready to break free! Mom and dad didn't sleep a wink and Noah was up off and on during the night with temperature re-checks and the IV. By 10am Friday we were out of there!!!! We're at home now and doing well.

Noah played so well last night. He never once cried! He slept really good all afternoon... 3 whole hours! (we slept too!) Thanks for all the prayers and love from everyone! Noah's going to chill at home for a while and grammy is gracious enough to take care of him on Monday and Tuesday.
