Today, we had a "Family Service" Project for our SS Class. We had a blast and an awesome turnout. We went to a local church where we stuffed Easter Baskets full of goodies and wrapped each one with a personal Jesus item. It was awesome. The group has stuffed well over 2800 baskets to hand out to people in need in the community. Our class withstood the rain and came out in full force to help out. We wanted Noah to get first hand experience on what it's like to serve but he slept the entire time we were there but we mad several baskets for little boys like him. feeling a little better...

Noah is feeling a little better this morning. We are still dealing with the runny nose and coughing but all in all he's looking better. He's getting pretty tired of my cleaning up the nose but afterwards he realizes he feels so much better. We're hoping to go to daycare tomorrow as long as he says fever free. He's still giving me smiles through it all!

The Glorified Cold

Fever. Coughing. Runny Nose. Congestion. Pretty much this sums up Noah's first official cold. He woke up several times during the night unable to breath. We've cleaned out his nose several times today already and he is slowly starting to feel better. We are so thankful for Tylenol and D-Allergy right now. He wants to be held all the time right now but who would not when they don't feel well. They tested him for the Flu and RSV and we're so glad he does not have either one. (I would have felt so bad if he did because I would have felt like I brought it home to him.) All in all he just has a "glorified cold."

We decided to venture away from the rice cereal because Noah pretty much dislikes it. I tried it myself and the lack of flavor would make me spit it back up also. We gave him sweet potatoes last week and the little man loved them! He cried towards the end because he wanted more. He's a messy eater but so is his dad. We're trying banana's this week and so far he loves them!!!

It's Spring!!!!

It's officially springtime. Noah and I could not wait to get outside yesterday to enjoy the outdoors. We went on a nature walk and had so much fun. We were gone for about 2 hrs and here is what we did...

He napped while I got some good exercise in.

And then he woke up when he heard the dogs running in his direction.

He smelled the grass and played for a bit.

And the neighbors wanted to join in also on the fun!!!!

one HAPPY baby!

Noah is so happy all the time now. He grins and smiles at you and just enjoys life to the fullest. He was playing in his bouncer today when I captured this moment on camera. He's such a wonderful baby and we're enjoying seeing the changes... Now we must go play outside in this beautiful weather!!!

Enjoying the Outdoors

The beginning of this week was gorgeous! Noah and I went outside and took several walks. We got to enjoy the sunshine, play in the grass, smell the flowers, and stroll the neighborhood. This was Noah's first real time beginning outside and he loved every minute of it. We want this weather to come back really soon so we can enjoy it again.... Hopefully the end of this week!

Morning Breakfast

At Noah's 4 month Doctor's appt, we got the okay to begin rice cereal. Since I had to work this past weekend we decided to start it Monday when I would be home with Noah in the mornings and could work with him. He got his first taste of rice cereal this morning! He took about 3 bites of it by the spoon and kept it in his mouth. The next couple ones he spit out. I had to keep him entertained while I fed him with plane and train noises with the spoon. We'll try again tomorrow and see how it goes!

the BIG 4 months!!

Noah is 4 months old today!!!

We visited the Doctor today for his 4 month check-up. The boy is getting HUGE! He weighs 13 lbs 10 ounces, is 24.5 inches long, and in the 25% for weight and the 45% for height. The Doctor says Noah is doing great and developing right along with the others... he would have never guessed he would have come 5 weeks early. We'll be starting rice cereal next week! He got several shots today but we hit him up with some Tylenol before heading in there to keep him calm and relaxed for a while.

He has made so many milestones since he was born in the last month...

He loves to smile @ you with those big cheeks and his button nose!

He has rolled over from his belly to his back!

He has gone from sleeping 2 hrs at a time @ night to sleeping a whopping 10 whole hrs! (I think mom and dad are more excited about this one then anything)

He is grabbing and reaching out for toys!

What's to happen in the next month?!?! Mommy and Daddy can't wait to see!

Food, Fun and Fellowship

Saturday Night, I organized for our Sunday School Class to get together @ Fuddruckers for dinner... it's a "child-friendly" place and I knew the kids would enjoy it. We had a blast! Ten couples showed up with their kids in hand, ready to eat some hamburgers. We were able to fellowship, eat (what Baptist do well when we get together) and have some much need fun. The kids each had boucing balls and it kept them entertained the entire night long. I love how our class is growing so much with adults and kids. I hoping everyone else had a blast too!
