Christmas 2009

Christmas was wonderful this year! It went by way to fast for our family. We're enjoying all our new toys, clothes and gadgets we got from everyone. It was great to see Noah interact with so many people this year and able to open up his gifts. He is feeling 100% better and was so excited to get into the Christmas spirit. He opened some gifts on Christmas Eve with Jeremy's side of the family and then Santa came to visit on Christmas day!

Check out Noah's new wheel's!!! He loves his new car!

He shoots and he scores!

Now where's Santa? I need to talk with this man again!

Baby Mozart!

Noah and his buddy/ cousin Jay. They had a blast playing on Jay's new slide. I think Noah will be over at Jay's house a lot this summer to play on the side.

Feeling MUCH Better

UPDATE: Noah is feeling much better! He's been a little fussy but it's to be expected with everything he has gone through this past week. We went for our follow-up Doctor's appointment today and they were impressed on how well his lungs sounded. We do not have to do the breathing treatments anymore which excites Noah and me!

Look at Noah he's in the DVD cabinet!

Noah crawling into the cabinet.

Taking apart the tree.

Trying to open someones Christmas present but I got to him before he opened it all the way.

Hey mom... Look at the new muscles I've got from all the steroids!!!

Never a dull moment!

There is never a dull moment with Noah! This past weekend he was diagnosed with a double ear infection, sinus infection and we found out he had 4 molars coming through. But Monday morning he gave me a scare! He woke up breathing super fast, using tons of stomach muscles to breath, and not wanting to do anything but sleep because his breathing was making him exhausted. I rushed him to the Doctors office and from there they once again admitted him to the Hospital.

Noah was a trooper! Noah had to get a special straw called an IV to get antibiotics through his arm. He adjusted well to the new found pillow on his hand.

He did lots of this during the night time. He rested very well which is always the best medicine.

more resting!

Look at Noah drinking his bottle with one hand. He reverted back to the bottle while he was there but he was at least drinking!

Miss Elyse and Noah... this was Noah's favorite person. She brought Noah all the toys and games he wanted. She's moving to CA and we're going to miss her so much! We're resting great now and have a follow up appt later this week! We pray for no more trips to the Hospital!!!

Birthday's

Just for kicks... Noah's got muscles like the Michelin man!

Jeremy's best bud turn 30 yesterday. His girlfriend threw him a wonderful surprise birthday party and he was clueless! Noah would not stop making funny faces or sit still to get a good picture with Dr. Kit. Boys will be boys!

These 3 guys are the best of friends... Kit, Kenny and Jeremy. They have been friends for about 10 yrs now and still going strong.

Sunday School Class Fun!!!

Yesterday, our Sunday School Class headed to Operation Christmas Child to serve and help sort through boxes. We had a blast!!! We had almost the entire class come out (minus the children). We had a great time getting to know one another better, laughing and telling jokes. Operation Christmas Child collects shoes boxes for children ages 2-10 with toys, clothes, books, etc and ships them all around the world!

The men doing the hard work... picking up the boxes to load!

Laura patiently waiting for Morgan to hand her the next box.

The room where all the boxes get sent out from.

My buddy Laura for the day! She was a guest today and so awesome! Turns out she is a Neuro ICU RN at CMC!

Such a great looking group!
Afterwards, we gathered our kids and met @ Fuddruckers for dinner. We exchanged White Elephant gifts and let all the children run around with balloons and balls. It's a great place to go with children cause in the end we don't have to clean up the mess!!! The best part of it all!!!

Quick pose... Jeremy, Noah and Jay

Noah Meets Santa...

We decided tonight to take Noah to meet Santa Claus so he could tell him everything he wanted for Christmas. Noah was such a good boy this past year he deserves the world. We were able to walk right up with no wait.

Noah walked up to Santa with no problem. He even slipped him a smile or two. But here's what happened next....

He screamed so loud the second we sat him on Santa's lap. He was not sure about the big guy with a grey beard. Jeremy and I have never heard Noah scream like this before. He cried and cried.

He was fine after we were far away from Santa. He even gave us a big smile next to the Christmas tree!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go! Oh how exciting the Christmas season is! I could not wait to put the decorations up this year. I started before Thanksgiving with the inside stuff knowing no one would be visiting and then after Thanksgiving out come the outdoor decorations! Noah has enjoyed looking at all the red and green decor. His favorite part of course is the tree. Who wouldn't love the tree!?!?

And this is my favorite part... The Birth of Jesus! Jeremy gave me this wonderful Nativity Scene for my birthday a couple years back and I cherish. We were discussing at work today all the different Nativity Scenes they have out and how even though so different yet all have the same meaning!

The fabulous tree! Noah's favorite of all!

I decided to get creative. I saw on a website how to make ornament wreaths and I wanted to give it a try. I gathered all the needed supplies and after two different wires and some of the ornaments coming off, I managed to make this wonderful wreath! So do you like it?!?!

Into everything!

We decided to leave one cabinet in the kitchen unlocked so Noah cause play. Needless to say, he goes for that cabinet every time we are in the kitchen! There are no breakables in there which is good but tons of pans which create way to much noise when thrown on the ground. But it's a beautiful site when your child smiles with the fun he's having!

Just checkin' out what was last cooked on this pan!

Might have been steaks but not sure!

Black Friday

Black Friday is supposed to be about shopping and getting the best bargain out on the market but my Black Friday had better deals to be found... I got to spend the day with my Family and got to see not one but two of my bestest friends!!! Nicolette and her husband came into town and we ventured over there to see them. She had yet to meet Noah and it was great seeing her interact with him. And then my other bud KT is in town to stay and live for who knows how long and we called her and went and hung out for a few hours. So great! So my black Friday was pretty priceless and worth the trips and friends we got to see!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

From our family to yours, we hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We are so thankful this year for so many things... our Lord and Savior, our sweet little boy, our immediate family, our wonderful friends, our jobs, everyone's health, food on the table each night, a warm home to come into each night, cars to get us to work safely, and the list could go on!
We are so Thankful and couldn't ask for anything more!!!

Allergy Testing

Today Noah and I went to an Allergy Specialist for him. We were referred by his Pediatrician and without hesitation I decided to take him. Honestly, I thought the appointment was going to be useless and tell me no information at all. Boy was I wrong! I found out Noah has allergies! What?!?! Neither Jeremy nor myself have any allergies of any kind so to my amazement I was shocked. Turns out Noah is allergic to cats, dust mites, pollen, and whole egg products like scrambled eggs. Also he must limit the amount of chicken and tomatoes he eats. The sad part is we eat tons of chicken and spaghetti at our house. The Doctor also started Noah on a medication for his runny nose and congestion. We're hoping this will clear things up. We go for a follow-up in 4 months!

Weekend Review

We've been busy this weekend child proofing the house. It's official... our house is completely child and adult proof. We made the decision to child-lock our kitchen cabinets when Noah pulled my glass bowl out of the cabinet. I was so thankful it did not break!

Look at me I'm into everything! It seems as if the magic word around our house is "No!." We learned something from my sister with her little one by saying "hands off" and he's responding good. We purchased some shatterproof ornaments this year since the Christmas tree will be up. I'm hoping they live up to their name!

We've got lots on the agenda this coming week! Thanksgiving... so what are you thankful for?!?!

Almost Wordless Wednesday!

Noah is always on the go! Sorry for the blurry picture but it's so hard to keep the little guy still for a second! We got the chance to go see one of my best buds Ms. KT Mac today! It was so nice. Her parents got to meet Noah for the first time and the other cool part is her sister is coming in town for a couple of weeks to visit all the way from Middle East! Noah will get to meet another little friend his age when they get here! Off to enjoy this rainy Wednesday!

Fun Sliding!

Today, we had the opportunity to have Jay and Gramps over. Morgan and Garrett left out of town and my dad was in charge of Jay for the weekend. Jay came over to hang out on Friday and the boys had so much fun! FYI: Morgan, Jay told me he wants a slide for Christmas!

Noah sliding down the slide.

Jay ready to slide.

The boys playing so nice together. They managed to at one point wrestle with one another. They had a good time together.

1 year old Check-Up

We had our 1 year old Check-Up today and it went great! Noah did not seem to mind the Doctors office until the very end!

Let's see how BIG he is:
Weight: 21 pounds, 14 ounces (30% percentile)
Height: 29.25 inches (40% percentile)
Head Circumference: 46.75 cm (55% percentile)

Yes I do know, Noah has a big ole head! He has come down on the percentiles for his weight and he is staying the same on his height. He's growing right along. He's a fabulous eater! We've moved right into whole milk and I'm not sure who likes it better Noah or mom! He eats anything you give him. The other day I did not realize I dropped lint from the dryer on the playroom floor and he was eating the lint! Gross!

Check me out! I'm a Big boy now! a Toddler!!!

Silly face!

Smiling big before he got 4 shots!

Wondering what the Nurse is getting ready to do to him... he got 4 different shots today and I elected for one to be the Flu shot. We must go back in 1 month to get the other half of it!
So we're growing strong and big!!!!!
