Happy Easter!

Over 2000 years ago, there was 1 cross, 3 nails, a crown of thorns, and our Savior. Three days later, on that very Sunday, we celebrate that the tomb is EMPTY!!! He is Risen, He is Risen!!!

I'm also beyond blessed to be called "mom" to these 2 little boys!

Seth - you have grown up before my eyes, I don't know where my little boy has gone! I look at the below picture and for some reason you don't look like my 2 year old but a grown up!

Noah - where has has the time gone! He looks 4 going on 12!

Beyond blessed this Easter!!!

The last swim & A Donut

Thursday was the boys last swim lessons. I have had fun watching them learn to swim and conquer their fear of the water. On the last night, Noah got promoted to the next level. He was able to swim back and forth holding his breath without assistance 4 times! He got this ribbon and he requested to sleep with it!

Friday morning before heading out to work, I decided we needed a little something "sweet" to eat for breakfast. I ran and grabbed some donuts to eat.

I think Seth likes his donut!

Dying Easter Eggs!

Last year at the end of Easter I purchased an Easter Egg Dying kit for the following year to use with the boys. With Easter fast approaching, I knew we had to get the eggs dyed. Sunday was a perfect day... it was cold and rainy outside. We got all the ingredients out and went to work coloring our eggs.

I called to lemon juice to make them a rich color...

They had fun "stirring" the food coloring.

Seth was so proud of his yellow egg!!!

Noah's green egg did not turn out really green but he was still proud of it!

Next on the agenda was for Noah to complete a bunny for homework for school. We used candy, cotton balls, and other random things around the house to create out bunny!!!

We can't wait for Sunday!!!

Egg Hunt!

We had our 3rd annual Sunday School Class Egg Hunt! There were 28 families there!!!! Oh. My. Word.

We had tons of casseroles and some awesome home-cooked food!

We had our famous egg hunt and we had to inspect each egg before we put them into our bucket.

We ran from egg to egg collecting them.

We carried our picture everywhere we went.

We had 14 tables with 8 chairs around them... do you the math how many people came... LOTS!!! We have a HUGE class!!!

We played with out friends!

We jumped on bounce houses.

We ate shaved ice!

We loved the shaved ice!

We had a blast at the egg hunt! We got to hang out with all our friends, no one had a major melt done (besides Seth when he thought no one wanted to play with him, bless his heart), we ate tons of good food, we got lots of eggs, and we learned more about Jesus!!!

Busy Saturday's

Our Saturday's are now packed with soccer and other fun summer activities. We love it! Noah is playing soccer again this year. His age won't allow him to play any other sports. He seems to enjoy it even though his parents don't fully understand the game.

He had not missed a beat from being out there last year.

They practiced all kinds of skills and he had a blast!

He dribbled the ball all over the field.

They even let Seth participate in the activities and he did a great job listening!

The main reason he went out there was to score some goals and he did at the end!

We headed back home for naps and then we celebrated Grammy's birthday!!! Grammy with all her grand-kids!!!

Potty Time!

We had a 1st tonight for Seth... he peed on the potty!!! Yippie!!!

Seth has been showing some interest in wanting to use the bathroom like his big brother. Now that he has finally moved up into the "potty" classroom at school, we are able to start potty training. We talked to the teachers and we decided to get "serious" about potty training. We got him some big boy underwear for Christmas and he wears them over-top of his diaper. I don't want to have to change tons of clothes so right now we're starting like that. We had him sit on the toilet and no real progress. He would sit and get bored within a minute. But tonight right before getting in the bath, his diaper was dry so I said lets sit on the potty and guess what he actually peed!!! We all jumped up and down and had a little party in the bathroom! It's the little things in life that bring excitement!!!

So here's to the next adventure in Seth's life... potty training!!!

Lovin' the Weather!

We have had a wonderful weekend!!! We played outside all day today; literally! Noah never napped; bummer. We put the bounce house up and decided to let him play on it. Little did we know it would entertain him for 4 hours! Jay and Peyton came over to play on it and they had a blast.

At one point, Seth caught a foot to the nose and blood was everywhere. You would never know it bothered him cause he jumped right back up and said "I go play." He's a tough kid but don't worry he made sure Jay and Noah did not kick him again. We ate pizza with Peyton's family and back to bouncing they went. They were exhausted by the end of the night! Can't wait for summer!!!

Weekend Wrap-Up

We had a great weekend! Relaxing some and playing at other times. We were a bit surprised with a mini-snow storm came through on Saturday. Noah was disappointed the snow did not stick. He was determined to make snowballs again.

Jeremy & his Mozambique team had a car-wash on Saturday (in the snow) to help raise money. I was honestly very surprised many people came out. Noah and Seth helped to make a sign for the team. I wrote the words Car Wash and they decorated it with Cars stickers. It was a great thought!

They raised $1250 for their missions team and so far we have raised $110 for the bow-ties and neckties I have made!!!

Noah begged on Saturday night to just "stay @ home". He is mine for sure cause I would rather stay at home any day of the week then run around. We did just that and watched a good movie with the kids.

Sunday was church and I love hearing Seth scream out "Look! Church!" as we drive up to the big building. It melts my heart!

We went to Monkey Joes on Sunday afternoon for a birthday party. I honestly had forgot about it until someone mentioned it to me today. Thank goodness I had a random gift at the house... no it was not a re-gift! The boys were beyond excited to go play again and so was I since it was so cold outside. I only saw the back of Seth's head most of the time. He ran from bounce house to bounce house.

Noah was a huge help with Seth. I asked them before going in to stay together since so many kids would be there and they did just that. Noah would help give Seth a push up the slides and made sure he did not go down unless his brother was right behind him.

I know the picture is blurry but they are smiling from ear to ear!

A great weekend! Now let's hope Monday and the rest of the week goes even better!!!

Good Behavior

The past 2 weeks have been hard for Noah at school. He moved up to a new classroom 2 weeks ago and for some reason was having a hard time listening in the classroom. His new room has more structure and center activities then the others he has been in. We talked with the teacher about our concerns and she made us feel better letting us know that lots of kids behavior is like Noah's at the start of this new class. We challenged Noah that if he got all green stars we would take him somewhere special at the end of the week. Monday started off bad... red star. Reward lost one would think. We talked and explained to him how he is to behave during group time with his hands in his lap sitting criss-cross applesauce and that if he has any concerns he is to raise his hand. Not sure exactly how our 2nd talk would go but he did so great the rest of the week getting all green stars we could not help but reward the little man!!! The teacher even mentioned to us that after Monday and our "pep-talk" he has been so good!!!

So... we started the morning off with sausage balls in hopes we would have good behavior!

We came home to find out another great day of listening so out we headed to Pizza Hut... Someone is a little greedy when it comes to his chicken wings. Seth leaves nothing on the bone!

Then it was off to Monkey Joes for a night of bouncing!!! Noah and Seth were beyond excited to head out and play!

We were glad our pep-talk worked and his behavior changed. We won't be able to reward each week with this kind of reward but we hope he understood that with good behavior good things come his way!
