Unexpected days off...

Today, I had an unexpected day off work. Noah got sick in the middle of the night and was having trouble catching his breath. Poor guy coughed all night long and was very restless. The best way he slept was with his head propped up on my arm with a pillow. We gave him a breathing treatment in the middle of the night and it helped and he finally got some decent rest. Needless to say I didn't sleep at all constantly checking on him. As soon as I got in the shower I put him in there with me and he was feeling much better. We headed off to the doctor sleep deprived and all and they gave Noah a steroid injection. You can tell he is feeling much better. After the shot Seth said "I get one." I think not! I can only handle one sick one at the moment. We have been home resting and i am hoping for some long nap times!

Weekend Round-Up

We had a low-key weekend just before all the hustle starts with the holiday season fast approaching. Saturday was Seth's birthday!!! I put "2" balloons in his room Friday night so when he woke up he had balloons in his room. Before we got in there, he had them all in his bed and was going wild with his balloons! We sang Happy Birthday to him for breakfast...

Nothing like a candle in a donut!

He was proud of himself for blowing it out!

We hung around the house all Saturday and let them play with their new toys from there birthday party the previous weekend. They had everything out!!! The playroom was a mess!!!! They each took great naps and then we headed out to a "surprise" party for one of our friends which happened to be @ a fire station. Score! Noah loves Fire Trucks and I was hoping Seth might get in on the fun too. Noah enjoying touring around the firetruck...

Seth enjoyed playing on the outside with all the stuff. He was none to interested in getting inside which shocked me.

My little fireman! He wanted to make sure Seth and him wore their fire shirts to the fire station to show the fire fighters! How precious!!! They even had to leave while we were there to a call! How cool!!!

We had a good and relaxing weekend... the craziness will begin soon with all the parties and other festivities. We enjoyed a low key weekend; it was much needed!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Seth!!!

I can't believe my baby boy is 2 yrs old! Where has the time gone? It feels just like yesterday he entered the world. He really does complete our family. He is such a sweet little boy. He loves (and I mean loves) his family. He calls out for "No-No" aka Noah every morning to come save him from his room. If he is lost or in need of a friend, he will say "No-No, where No-No. I need No-no" I would say he really loves his brother.

He's getting to be a picky eater. He does not eat as good as he did a year ago but he still eats okay. He loves green beans, apples, and this chicken I make called Ritz Cracker Chicken. He loves grapes and bananas. He's not a big fan of breakfast food but will eat it. He loves milk and his favorite is a cold glass right out of the frig.

He doesn't care much about his clothes right now. He will wear whatever you put on him. He likes to dress like Noah and wear some of the same things he has. He wears a size 18-24 mo clothes and a big ole 7 shoe! He's still in diapers but we did get him underwear for his birthday thinking he might become interested in going to the potty.

He loves all toys and will play with about anything. His favorite are Noah's toys that he can get into. He loves to color. We got him this AquaDoodle for his birthday that has water and when he colors the mat it changes colors. He loved it! And so did his parents because it's only water he is using to color vs a crayon.

He's getting to be a pro at giving you hugs and kisses. He does a good job at saying the prayers. He knows that we pray before dinner and he'll fold  his hands and bow his head to pray. It's the sweetest!

We love you Seth and we can't believe you are already 2!!! We look forward to many more years celebrating you!!! Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

Discovering...

I had several days off last week (much needed vacation) and I decided I would do something fun with the kids each day. On Wednesday, I took them to Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville and they had a blast. We got there right when it opened and so did 30 other preschool age kids. They played so nice together  Noah loved the train table they had...

They both hopped from one exhibit to the next seeing what they could get into....

Around 10am, enter 120 2nd grade kids! Yikes! They were running all over the place. But Noah and Seth stayed with me the entire time! I was so proud of them. Honestly I was a bit worried taking them by myself because they can go in 2 different directions a lot but they managed to stay together very well and listened!

Seth loved watching Noah do things...

And Seth loved the firetruck... hint hint mommy I think he might want a firetruck party like Noah had 2 yrs ago for his birthday!

Afterwards, we headed to Chick-fil-A @ the mall for some lunch. It was a great day spent with the kids and they had a blast!!!

Two "Monkey's" Birthday's!!!

This past Friday, we celebrated the kids birthday with some of their friends @ Monkey Joes. The kids (and adults) had a blast jumping on the bounce houses. Noah has requested he have his party there since he went to one back in February and since Seth can't really decide what he wants to do, we just picked for him.

We went with a Captain America Theme. I asked Jeremy if he wanted a captain America shirt to go all match and amazingly he agreed to it!

Oh. How Sweet. They love each other.

or not.

Seth is my sweet baby boy. I can't believe he is 2. Where has the time gone?!?!

And Noah is our oldest, 4. Yikes! Getting to be a big boy and will proudly tell you he's a big boy.

We got their early so they could slide some and we are glad we did...

Our friends got there and we were beyond excited!!!

There is nothing better then cake and a candle... We sang happy birthday and they blew out their candles in style!

Seth love every minute of the cake. Oh. My.

We let the kids play some more before the fun had to end because the bounce houses were closing. Noah told us on the ride home "mommy/ daddy thanks for my party I had fun!!!" I bet if Seth could talk really good he would have said the same thing. All in all it was a successful party filled with lots of friends and family to help them celebrate. They felt loved by everyone!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

...everywhere you go!!! I love all things Christmas. I love that Christmas music is already playing, I love that Hobby Lobby puts Christmas things out in July, I love Christmas trees, and I love to decorate our house for Christmas even if we are the only ones that will see it. While I was off these past couple of days, I talked some Christmas shopping and got almost all of it done! We went back to the mall today and guess who was there... Santa! We asked Noah if he wanted to see him and he said yes.

So... a little shy @ first but within a second he was...

...sitting on his lap! Holy Cow we have come a long way. Last year he was scared to death of Santa. And this year he hopes right on up to the Jolly Ole Man and tells him exactly what he wants.

We were beyond shocked @ how he did.

He told Santa he wanted a Train Table, Bat Cave, and other stuff we couldn't hear.

Next we decided to see what Seth would do since there was no line and they were allowing us to take our own pictures. He got out of the stroller saying "No Mommy, No Mommy, No Mommy." But keep in mind the entire time we were in the mall he kept saying "Me get out, Walk Mommy, Walk me mommy." So i held him and we walked up...

& he did not cry one bit!!!

So Santa knows what the kids want, not lets hope he helps the parents out!!!

Check-ups!!!

Today both kids had their annual check-ups @ the doctors office. They both  got a clean bill of health and no shots!!!

They love each other lots.... I promise!

Noah Belote
Height: 40.5 in
Wight 38.4 pounds (wow is all I can say!)
They checked Noah's vision and hearing and it was wonderful. Now I know if he does not listen, it is because he chooses not too! He showed the doctor how he can write his name, listened to his heart, and showed him his tonsils that are now missing. All in all, he checks out ok!

Seth Belote
Weight: 28.2 pounds
Height: 33.75 in
Seth was a little afraid of the doctor. Anything he did he wanted Noah or myself right beside of him. Seth is right on track for a 2 yr old. He got the flu mist and did great with it.

Next year is when I'm told I will need the reinforcement for shots! Yikes!!!

To be 4...

I wanted to make sure that Noah knew how "special" he us on his birthday. The night before, I put 4 balloons in his room along with hanging some random "Happy Birthday" banners in the kitchen. I left at 5:45 to head to vote on Tuesday (I forgot to early vote - the organized person I am still does not know how that happened but I was in and out in 4 mins! besides waiting in line before it opened) and Noah woke up before I got back. This time change thing has messed him up a bit and he's been waking up before 6 every morning. Need to fix that - STAT. Anywho, I got back and much to my surprise he was sitting there and I sang Happy Birthday when I walked in. Seth was already dressed and ready himself. We grabbed a candle and per his request he had a sausage biscuit for breakfast... we sang happy birthday! and he loved it!!!

@ this point he was a bit upset cause I put a hole in his biscuit but he quickly got over it.

My Noah before heading off to school. It was all his idea but he wanted to have a birthday party @ school. Great idea! We picked out a few of his favorite goodies at the store and packaged them all up so they could have a party. I could not attend but his teacher promised me it would be good. Noah said they sang to him and made him dance! Thanks Mr. David for filling in for us!!!

Once everyone got off work, we were to go out to eat to celebrate. While driving into work, he wanted Chick-fil-A; by the time Jeremy picked him up he had changed his mind to spaghetti, and by the time I got home, he decided he wanted Showmars. So off we went to Showmars per his last request. He got his favorite, shrimp and fries and the best part, there was a balloon lady there making stuff for the kids. Noah scored a Spider-man balloon.

Now for the much awaited presents... he said he wanted a dragon like the one from the movie "how to train a dragon" so I sort of found one like it

and he loved it!!!

Lastly, he requested a Captain America mask. I scored his back when I got his cousins gift knowing he would want one just like it. It was perfect. He's been wearing it all day and night, literally!

All in all, He had a wonderful birthday. He said he felt extra special today!!! I can't believe my oldest is 4! Yesterday he told me "look mom, see I'm 4 and I'm bigger." all while showing off his muscles and pushing out his chest! To be 4 again!!!! Love it!!!
