My baby boy smiled at me!!!! It was the coolest thing ever. It may not be a big smile but he was playing and having a good time this afternoon when he started to smile and coo! Of course I ran to get the camera to capture every moment. I just love pinching those cute cheeks every day. He has got so big in the past month. I can't wait to see more smiles all the time!!!
We had my bestbud in the whole world spend the night/ day on Sun/ Mon/ Tues! Katie's Birthday was on Monday so we celebrate it in style with a wonderful birthday cake and sang "happy birthday"!!! She turned 26!!! She had yet to see Noah, so she got to see him in all his glory. I'm hoping he did not wake her up at night time with the cries for food. Now we're off to go shopping @ Southpark... our favorite past time! We used to go try on prom dresses all the time there but now we've moved up in the world and still go look at them and all the rest of the "stuff" we can't seem to afford at that expensive mall.
Here is the cutest picture from earlier this week of the two cousins, Jay and Noah. Jay is an almost 6 month old and Noah is an almost 3 month old. Next year at this time they will be into so much "stuff" that my sister and I will not know what to do with ourselves. They look so much alike you would almost mistake the 2 for brothers... their mouths are both hanging wide open!
I'm coming up on my last week at home next week. It's sad but yet exciting because I'll have to leave this little guy in the hands of a daycare and start work. I'm excited about going back to work cause I love it so much there but Noah is way more fun then taking care of sick little ones. He's got so BIG in the past few weeks and really started to develop a personality. I'm going to miss him but I've already got permission to go visit him during my lunch breaks!!!It's snowing today here in Charlotte and it's Noah's first Snow!!! How exciting! I was able to spend the day with him and we took some photos. He's not a cold kind of person cause every time we went outside he would close his eyes. There are no photos with his eyes open.

Noah LOVES his bath time. Every night he gets a bath before bed to relax him and make him feel so clean... and to get all the milk off him that he has spit up throughout the day.
Oh yeah... he's going to be a "babe magnet" so girls you better watch out when he gets older!!!Today I had a very important application to do at work... (Yes I'm still on maternity leave but doing work related items). I applied for my Clinical Nurse 3 in December and had the interview today. Well I got it!!! I had to put together a notebook full of work related items to show what I've done for our unit. I even had to write a paper. Yikes! The last time I wrote a paper was in college. But it went well and now I have an additional title for a year!!!
If you are a mom-to-be I recommend this wonderful chair: The Bumbo seat! It's the next best thing to milk for your little one. We have one for Noah and he loves it so much. He likes to sit up and see everything that is around him and this gives him the opportunity to see everything. Great purchase item!!!
Noah chillin' in the Bumbo seat!Today, Noah has his 2 month Drs. appt. It went very well. The boy is getting super big: he weighs 10 pounds, 10 ounces and is 22 inches tall! I can't believe how big he got in one month!!! Soon he will not be my little boy anymore but a grown man. I remember just like yesterday when he weighed a little over 5 pounds (the car seat carrier was easier to carry with him it in then). He got several shots today so I'm being the nice mom and letting him sleep. Better to let him be right now cause I sure do not want a fussy baby. Poor thing. Next appt will be for his 4 month check-up!
As many of you know, Noah has a head FULL of hair. It's been getting longer by the day and just too hard to style. So we decided to get out sissors, brush and razor out to shape that crazy hair into a piece of art...
Noah is 2 months old today!!! He's a hot mess! We're still hoping and waiting for him to sleep more then 3 hrs during the nighttime. He eats like a champ taking 4 ounces every 3 hours! He's got a personality and temper like his dad. He's a lot more alert then he was 1 month ago. We are able to play together and be on more of a schedule. He takes GREAT naps... so good I have to wake him up after 3 hrs! We go Monday for our 2 month check-up so we'll see how big he has got and we have to get several shots then. Mom is nervous.
Oh yeah, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I can't believe 2008 has flown by. It seems just like yesterday that we rang in 2008 and now we're starting another new year. This year is going to be fabulous!
