BIG Changes!!!

As many of you know, I have been on the job hunt for sometime now and someone finally decided they wanted me... (hahaha!)


I am beyond excited about making this change. More so that EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I will be @ home to tuck the boys into bed!!!!!!!!!! We will get to spend time in the morning over breakfast discussing their dreams from the night before and then in the evenings they will get to tell me all about their day! I'll still get plenty of time during the day to hang out with them and I will have all my weekends back! I have to work a few weekends but no where near like what I have been working in the past! It's still sinking it that I will be leaving the Hospital but in the long run we feel this is going to be a great move! It's still amazing to me how God answered a prayer I started praying over a year ago for me to find a new opportunity where I did not have to work on Christmas Day! The prayer was answered in a big way and now I will get to spend Christmas and several other holidays with the ones I love the most!!! I start the week of October 9th... yikes that's coming faster then I think!!!

What a Mess Wednesday!!!

On Tuesday night we were eating some yummy Spaghetti and Seth decided he did not want to be fed anymore. He began to cry and get extremely frustrated with me. So Jeremy turned to me and said "You know what he wants. Just put the Spaghetti on his plate and let him feed himself." So I did and this is what it looked like....





And because of it, we had a happy baby!!!

Mint Hill Madness (Literally!)


It's that time of year again!!! Mint Hill Madness time! We loaded our stroller, forgot our umbrellas, and walk half a mile to find some awesome seats for the parade! We live right in downtown so walking to the parade seemed like a great idea. Until we got downtown and it started to rain. But the kids didn't seem to mind. It brought back memories for me of when I was in the parade and it poured one year! The rain didn't stop us from having fun!!!...

And we're still smiling with no morning nap!!!


When we got home, Noah told everyone "I liked the parade!" And that my friends, makes this momma happy!!! Next year, we're hoping it doesn't rain!!! But we know we can still have some fun!!!

Pre - Mint Hill Madness!!!


It's Mint Hill Madness time!!! We headed out with kids in strollers and walked to downtown Mint Hill for the annual pre-parade activities. We had a blast!!!

Rainy Day Blues

It's a rainy day around here and we aren't going outside. The puddles of water look fun but it's just nasty outside. So we are indoors having fun...





We hope it stops raining so we can go to the pre-parade activities tonight!!!

Happy 10 mos Seth!!!

Seth you are 10 mos old today!!!


You bring so much joy and laughter to our lives! You have learned to "attack" your brother which you both find very fun. You are such a good eater and will eat almost anything we put in front of you. You are a pro now at drinking sippy cups. You have got a hold of your brothers a time or two and really would rather have something to drink out of his cup instead of yours!


You sleep great at night and take 2 good naps a day. We always enjoy coming into your room when you wake up because you are so happy! You have got so much better at not spitting up!!! Your are coming home with less dirty clothes from daycare and we have not had to use so many bibs! (We went 2 whole weeks without changing your crib sheet!!! - normally we have to change it 2 or 3 times a week cause you spit up on it.)


You have a cute baby mullet going on right now but we don't want to cut your hair right yet. Your brother by this age has already had 5 haircuts!


Seth - in 2 short months we will be celebrating your 1 year birthday! I can't believe it. We enjoy all yours smiles and giggles and can't wait for new things you are learning!!!

The memories of 9/11 will forever be remember. I recall I was in my college dorm room at UNC Charlotte in Poplar 301. I woke up late cause I had late classes on that Tuesday. I remember eating my cereal and coming to sit on the couch to see on the TV the twin towers coming down. Classes were either canceled that day or you went to class and viewed everything on TV. I know both my children will one day ask me about these events that took place on this day and I can say...

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance my must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Note to self:  Do NOT give Seth any sippy cups! Why you might ask... well he's managed to figure out how to drink from them all and got ahold of Noah's with Miralax in it!!! Oops!!! Thank goodness it was only a gulp and not the entire cup of it before I realized he had the wrong sippy cup in hand!!!

Parades!

Today we ventured to Matthews, NC for a fabulous parade! I can remember when we were little girls my parents would take us to this same parade and we would come home with lots of candy and had a great time! We geared Noah up all week for the parade telling him about it. He has a Thomas the Train book that talks about parades... Sir Topham Hat (aka for us Sir Pur from the Panthers), Dragons, (aka Homer), and Trains (aka there was a real train behind us!) and of course we had to see the firetrucks!!!

Ready, set, here comes the parade!!!...





The boys loved the parade! We got tons of candy and there was plenty of music and tons of firetrucks!!!





We were glad we went to the parade but afterwards we were ready to cool off in the car. We had to walk pretty far to get to our car... about a mile! and Noah walked the entire time telling us how much he enjoyed the parade! Next year, Seth will be able to participate more and get even more candy!!!

Now we are all taking a nap and getting geared up to watch the first game of the season for the Clemson Tigers!!!!

The Older Brother...

Noah is the first child of ours and he is so much fun to be around! He keeps us on our toes from sunrise to sunset. We're learning to expect sometimes the unexpected with him. Just the other day, we asked him when his birthday was and out of the blue he said "November 6." We had no clue he had remembered what we told him weeks before! He says anything you say so you have to watch what you say when you're around him.
He still enjoys his ham and cheese lunch without the bread. And now he's into crackers. He's a great eater. There is nothing this kid does not like. He will at least try everything a couple of times for us before he says he doesn't like it. Meal time can be tricky sometimes. Now he really wants to sit at his picnic table for every meal!
Did I mention he is into everything!!! You can't turn your head for a second without him getting into something. He is doing much better at keeping himself entertained and entertaining Seth. He plays so well with his little brother!
He's enjoyed going to the baseball fields and we think he might be a little baseball player! He loves the dirt and could play in it for hours. He normally does not complain about being outside and most days will request to go outside and play. He still enjoys his walks in the stroller which mommy and daddy love!
Noah we love you so much and enjoy all the excitement you bring to the house. We are so amazed by all the things you are learning each day!!! Soon will be your birthday and you will be a 3 year old!!!
