Trick or Treating 2013

We had a great time Trick or Treating tonight. The kids were superhero's and loved it. They are doing their poses here...

There are 3 families in the neighborhood and we have all gone trick or treating the past few years together. it's neat to see the kids as they get bigger!

They were off before we could say GO! Seth got scared at first because a big kid came up to him with mask. He got over it sort of but was not into walking up the doors in the dark without someone with him. Bless!

They had lots of fun and enjoyed some delicious candy!

Soccer Banquet 2013

Our soccer season has come to an end. It has a been a great one! We had the soccer banquet tonight and everyone was able to come. Noah was present (along with all the others) and trophy for participating in the soccer season. He had a great time and was so glad his dad was able to coach him!

Noah might have not got the Christianship award but in my eyes as a mom he did something more special. Seth was having a meltdown because he did not get a trophy. Out of the blue as we were trying to console Seth, Noah comes up and says "It's okay Seth you can have my trophy. I've got some metals at home in my room." That to me was so special and showed my true Noah's loving spirit. Always looking out for his brother and a giving heart.

The trophy is proudly in Seth's room thanks to an extra special older brother.

Thank you Jeremy and Noah for making this a wonderful soccer season!!!

Halloween Parade

Sunday afternoon our neighborhood put on a Halloween parade and mini-party for the kids (and adults). We walked the entire length of the entire for the parade route. I had no idea that was how far we were going to be walking but the kids did great! At the end is when Seth asked if I would care him...

At the end, we had treats and cookies waiting on us. I just might have let the kids have 2 iced cookies! They loved it!!! Jay was our side-kick kid for the afternoon. His mommy was getting ready for church and we took him out so she could get ready. We had fun!!!

A "Big" boy room

Over the weekend we transformed Seth's room from a baby room to a big boy room. We decided to do this for him since he was turning 3. He has been in the crib with the front off since he was 17 months or so but we never got around to getting him a grown up bed. He 3rd birthday sounded just like the right time to do it.

We started the prep work on Friday...

He continued into Saturday and by the time it was bedtime for the boys, we began the full transformation. Seth only knew about the brown walls he saw. He had no idea what was to come.

On Sunday, he woke up and begged to go in there but I would not let him because Jeremy was working this morning at the church. I was getting ready and I hear some little toes and a door knocking and Seth is trying to break into the room! Silly Kid! They patiently waited and when Jeremy got home, we surprised him and let him see his room...

He loved the bed!

He was thrilled to have a bed like everyone else. It swallows him whole!

We let the kids take a nap together in there which turned out to bed not successful but they loved sleeping in the bed together.

Seth is sound asleep in there tonight but sadly he told Jeremy he wanted his little bed back... If he has trouble getting along in his room we might have to switch Noah over to the bed. Bless him! I know he'll love it. We've go to hang the pictures and get a few more things for in there but over it's done. I love how it turned out.

Fall Festivals (x2) 2013

It's been a sugar rush, jump bouncing, costume kid of day!

It started off today with the boys getting able to wear their costumes to school for their annual Fall Festival. They were beyond excited to wear their super cool outfits. I took this picture before school and it does not say anything with how much energy they had before we left. They wanted a "serious" superhero pose...

Noah begged to take a picture and I let him but he forgot to capture our faces...

They had bounce houses, candy, hay rides, and all kinds of fun things at their school. The kids loved it and talked about it all the way to our next Fall Festival for our church. Our church hosted a Fall Festival on a schools playground. We got their just in time for the fun. We played a little golf, ate way to much candy, bounced again and drove monster trucks!

They loved this slide! Noah screamed coming out of it "do it again" but the lines were way to long and we had to go to another one.

They had a blast and are now resting off the sugar rush they had. Supper was horrible on my part... candy! I'll have to detox them tomorrow!

Now to prep for the weekend... transforming Seth's room into a "big boy" room!!!

Soccer Finale

Noah played the last soccer game Saturday morning. It was very foggy outside and rainy. The kids still had a good time. We scored 2 goals and the kids were beyond excited.

Overall, we had a great time playing soccer. Noah enjoyed playing with the "big kids" and learned a lot. He advanced more on his skills and was able to concentrate more on playing throughout the year. He really enjoys the sport and so do Jeremy and me.

You've been Booed!

The kids and I decided to have a little fun with the neighbors Sunday afternoon realizing it might not rain. We grabbed a couple of goody bags, candy and a printed sign from here... http://www.happinessishomemade.net/2012/09/12/free-youve-been-booed-printables/

to treat out neighbors to a little fun game...

The kids put a sign on their door saying "we've been booed!"

They laid the candy on the door mat, rang the door bell, and then RAN as fast as they could!!!

They hide behind the cars but with their giggles and excitement...

they got busted each time!

We hope our neighbors enjoyed the treat!

Feel free to pass on the fun in your neighborhood! I went to this website below to create my printable and you can do the same...

Future Players...

This past Friday night, Jeremy worked the concession stand at our church's school homecoming game. I picked the boys up from there because of the timing of it all, it was easier. The kids had a blast hanging out on the football field watching the "big boys" play football. The ball accidentally got tossed their way and to toss it back to the coach made their night.

Gavin and Noah enjoyed watching the older boys play. They even began to play a little on the sideline. If only the big boys knew how much these little boys looked up to them that night...

Pumpkin Paintin'

We weren't sure what the weather was going to do today; one minute the sun came out and the next it started to rain. We decided to stay in doors and just hang out and watch the Panthers win. Afterwards, we grabbed out pumpkins and went to painting them...

Noah and Seth enjoyed dipping their paint brushes in each color creating a beautiful master piece.

Seth had a blast!

The beautiful creations...

and the artists with their pumpkins!

They had a blast considering I rarely let them paint!

Soccer - Game 6

It was a beautiful day to play soccer on Saturday! We could have not asked for better weather! Noah had a great time playing and was much more aggressive then he has been in the past. All the kids got a chance to play each position because of the amount of players we had this week. They all did a great job!

2 more games left in the season. We sure are going to miss soccer!

Game 5

Brrr... It was a cold soccer night! Fall has finally arrived but the weather was not bad at all. The kids had a great time playing soccer. In tonight's prayers, Noah said the best part of his day was playing soccer.

We lost tonight but overall the kids had a blast! Each player got a chance to play goalie and did awesome. There was a little boy on the other team that was a great kicker and really could kick the ball hard at the goal. The Sharks are playing awesome and we couldn't ask for a better team!

Birthday party fun!

The kids had not one but two parties to attend yesterday. Little did I know that at each party a bounce house was involved. My kids were beyond excited! I was told at the end of the day "this was an awesome day!" They had a ton of sweets, lots of pizza and a blast with all their friends. I even got to hang out with some of my awesome girls from our Sunday school class! A success Saturday!

Homework!?!

We haven't even arrived to "real" school yet and my four, almost five, year old has homework!!! Seriously! He has a page to do each night that is given to us at the beginning of the week to be all completed by Friday. Thank goodness we don't get a real grade on it. We are starting to take it serious this year and having him do it. It can be a chore to get him to do it sometimes. We got a report on how he is doing and I'm pleased to say Noah is progressing well. He should be right on track to start school in the fall. As a matter of fact, he could start school right now and be fine! We got this interesting letter home today... It read something along the lines of starting in November we will be writing two and three letter words. Come January, we will be sending a book home each week for you and you child to start reading. What! I'm not sure I'm ready to start reading yet! I don't recall learning to read until like 1st grade and he's already going to be doing it before then. Yikes! So let the homework fun begin....

Happy Fall!

I've been looking forward to Fall all year long. It's a great time of the year! We had a fabulous day and what better way to start October then with a soccer game. Jeremy got the boys dressed and ready to play before I got home. Traffic was a nightmare!

Thing 1 was super excited to play; Thing 2 could not contain himself that he had a soccer jersey.

Noah has improved each game. He was a lot more aggressive then in previous times. He really ran towards the ball well.

He was right in the action.

Go Noah!

Excuse me Blue ball.

and blue ball again.

He ran up the sideline one time kicking the ball and did great.

He said he had a great time playing and Seth even got to play for about 1 min. He loved every minute of it. Bless him!
