Homework, Seriously?!?!

Both kids really like going to "school" but this mama is not prepared for homework yet. I felt like a bad parent because Seth was given a homework assignment to color an Easter Egg. The only problem was he forgot to tell me... really though the teachers forgot to give us the picture to color! Once we got home Thursday night, we got the crayons and stickers out to begin our project...

Noah enjoyed it more then Seth. And he insisted he needed an Egg Picture too. He placed TONS of stickers on his Easter Egg.

And Seth, well Noah helped to finish his project up because he though it would be best to color the chair, the table, and himself! He also enjoyed eating the crayons. At least they aren't toxic!

Onto Friday morning; wish I would have known there was no school. I was super early to work and had to wait to clock in. Noah reminded me this morning with a Mommy we need to take a picture. Two quick snaps...

...and you have a picture of brotherly love!

Impromptu Photo Shoot

We had an impromptu photo shoot today by my Dad. I wanted to get updated photo's of the kids and also to show off my latest handy work... I made their ties from one of Jeremy's old ties! Just call me Martha Stewart!

Here are some outtakes from the day...

The great escape.

Let's see how many jelly beans it takes to get me to smile. Don't worry in the car ride home he kept saying "Cheese!"

Not bad!

"Mommy, Seth is not sharing the football with me" said Noah.

I'll post the good ones soon! I promise!

Friends Forever!

Do you have friends that no matter what you will always been friends til the end? My sister and I have a dear friend Katie that we have been friends since we were 11 years old. We met in Elementary School and have remained friends every since. Even though we aren't all in the same transitions in life we still find all kinds of things to talk about.

Katie has done lots more traveling then Morgan and I have ever thought about doing. She's been all over the world! I had not seen her since about August and it's like nothing changed. We out for dinner tonight and enjoyed every moment chatting with her. She's got a growing Jewelry Business with some amazing pieces!!! I wish you could see the pieces she was wearing cause they are awesome and she handmade each one! She's got an amazing talent with Jewelry making. I miss my Katie!!! And was so thankful for the short time I got to spend with her tonight!!!!

What's for Dinner?!?!

Do you have "staple" meals in your house that you have pretty much every week no matter what? We do at our house... it is some form of spaghetti with either red or white sauce as Noah calls it. It's a must in our house because the kids love it and they eat it all up! But we must have bread to go with it! We break all rules when we have red sauce. You see we eat like this...

... in our underwear! I really don't feel like getting those tough stains out of their clothes and it's so much easier to clean them up without clothes on. See those happy faces; it's because they love spaghetti!!!

Spring has Sprung!

I think we can officially say that Spring has arrived! The weather has been awesome the past few days. We have been soaking it up every night when we get home from daycare and work. My half day was Friday and so you can bet that we changed our clothes quickly and headed outside...

Noah took Seth on a ride in his car. It was the sweetest! But then Noah gave up because it was to much for both to fit in there! Aren't they cute! They are such good buddies. Now to enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!

Happy Hump Day!!!

Oh Yeah! It's Wednesday! Do you know what that means... 2 more days til the weekend!!! But for me I get a half day on Friday which means on 1.5 more days of work! Oh Yeah baby!!!

Today at the kids daycare it was take your favorite stuffed animal to school to read them a book. Seth does not really have an animal that he is attached to so he took this frog I found in his room. Noah on the other hand loves this little dog! He has slept with it ever since we started letting him sleep with things in the bed... can we say attached. I was unsure about letting him take it today in fear that it might get "injured" but he came home safe and sound.

Then after work and daycare it's time for church!!! Noah and Seth both enjoy Wednesday nights at the Grove. The 3 amigos before heading to class!!!

And Seth in his jail shirt from school. (note to self = replace the kids school attire!)

And the countdown begins til the weekend... 12 hrs!!!!

Just doing Life...

Nothing exciting has been going on in our house. Just the same old stuff... eat, sleep, work/ daycare, church, repeat. The boys have really been testing us both these past few weeks. Noah is getting in trouble more at school... about once a week which means that he does not get a green star. He'll gladly repeat back to you what he did wrong and we're hoping he'll remember to not do it again.

And Seth, he's into everything!!! If he does not get his way, he pitches a fit. And that fit is pretty cute! He'll get on the floor and start kicking and screaming. Ex: yesterday morning, I was heating their breakfast of french toast sticks which both kids love but I was not doing it fast enough for his liking. So he decided to roll on the floor screaming. When I handed the bowl to him, he continued to scream for a bit longer. I just left him. And the weird parents we are, we've had to put the little guy in time-out. You see if we tell Noah no and he does it, he goes to timeout so we had to do the same thing for Seth because Noah was doing it again and again because Seth was not getting disciplined. OH. MY.

Seth's new thing is to say "Cheese" when you get something that looks like a camera out... he makes up for his tantrums with his cuteness!!!

And today, we got the bounce house out! First time all year!!! The boys played so well on it. And now that Seth is bigger they can really play better on it. We just sat and watched and helped when needed...

We loved the beautiful weather today!!!

Cuteness!

My kids are somehow "trained" every morning to go sit at the bottom of the steps to get a picture. Noah asks every morning, "Mommy you forgot to take our picture." Some mornings the camera is handy and we have a few seconds, and others I have to say we're running late not today buddy. Seth is now getting the hang of the "get up and smile at the camera before school" thing. Just this week, he started saying "cheese" when we take a picture.

He squishes that little nose and those eyes tight and says "cheese".

Just precious!!!

Low Key Weekends

I love a weekend where there is nothing on the agenda! We had no plans scheduled and we were glad! We hit the mall on Saturday morning to get Noah some much needed summer clothes. Poor guy didn't have much in the way of clothes for summer. I scored some great deals on clothes and hardly spend any money!!! My kind of shopping. We stayed around the house the rest of Saturday and just enjoyed each other's company. We went to bed early because the previous night we didn't sleep well in our house due to the storms.

Sundays are always fabulous... School Church as Noah calls it! We were challenged through the +1 missions to pray, go and give to local, national and international missions! Jeremy and I have committed to give 1% of our income to missions as HGBC!!!!

And Monday, it brings another work week... blah! But seeing there two cuties makes it a bit better....

Now to finish the work week to hang out with them!!!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!

Dr. Seuss turned 108 today!!! Can you imagine being that old?!?! On Friday at school, the kids helped to celebrate his birthday! They were asked to wear their pajamas to school...

and they would read books together! Sounds like fun to me! Noah was excited to wear his new pajamas to school and I know Seth's teachers were glad I put him in a shirt/ pants combo vs the footed pj's. And to finish this month, the kids are taking a reading challenge at school to read each night! We're going to do our best!!!
