Memorial Day 2010

We had a FABULOUS Memorial Day 2010! We celebrated it with tons of friends! Everyone came over for a cookout and water-play for the kids. They had a blast and the rain held off for a while. Check out the fun in action...

all the kids thinking about the water slide...

Noah loved sliding into the water from the slide!

It's hard getting up the slide wet!

There is just something amazing about a Mott's Juice bottle for 2 boys. Kept them entertained for about 15 minutes or longer!

Lastly, check out Mr. Dare Devil himself on the slide... he had no fears going down it!

Another Ear Infection

It's been an interesting day at our house... Noah woke up with a NASTY cough and a continuous runny nose. He was not himself during the morning hours. I laid him down for an afternoon nap a little early to hear him coughing the entire time and not sleeping. I decided to call the Doctor and we schedule an appt to be seen. Turns out the little dude has yet another ear infection and some wheezing (whistle) in his lungs! YIKES!
Above is Noah's new friend for the next few days until the cough is cover and the wheezing has officially stopped (it's a nebulizer machine). Somehow I knew he was going to get another ear infection before he got his tubes in 2 weeks. I'll be so glad when June 9th comes in hopes we do not get any more ear infections!

"Major" Surgery

Noah is going to have "major" surgery. It's really minor surgery to place tubes in his ears and remove his adenoids but to me any surgery that involves placing a tube down ones throat is major surgery. We went to the Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor after a recommendation from our Pediatrician because Noah has had 5 ear infections in 6 months. With the rate we are going he will have 10 by the end of the year. The Doctor examine Noah had said there is still fluid left in the ear but the infection has cleared. With that being said, there is a strong chance another infection could come along. We are wondering if the fluid is always in Noah's ears and never clears. Also, Noah has a chronic runny nose and he seems to think if we remove the adenoids we can hopefully help all the fluid to drain properly! We're so hoping this helps our little guy out and we don't have to visit the Doctor anymore for ear infections!

Mark it down... Wednesday, June 9th @ 7:30am is the day for Noah's tube placement and adenoid removal!

Weekend Fun!

We had a blast this weekend!!! No one in the Belote Family had to work so we got to spend the entire weekend together!!! It's rare now a days in our house that on a Saturday we get to hang out together. We chilled around the house all morning wondering if it was going to rain. It finally rained around lunchtime when Jeremy started to cut the grass. Afterwards, the sun was shining and it was hot outside! Later Saturday evening we went to out Sunday School Social. And we had so much fun! Noah enjoyed playing with every kid there from the little ones to the big ones. He played well and had so much fun. He was mad when we had to leave to go home but someone needed some sleep. Tons of kids were there along with there parents. The kids almost outnumbered the adults. We're just hanging out at the house today and enjoying it! Once Noah gets up from his nap we're thinking of converting his crib to a "Toddler Bed". We'll keep you posted how this goes!!!!

Copy-Cat

So it's official we have a copy-cat in our family. And it's name is Noah. Yes he will repeat and copy everything you say, do and eat. He will even do things days later that you had no clue he knew how to do.
Here's just a few of the items he'll copy...
~ Sitting in the computer room chair messing with the computer
~ Playing baseball and trying to hit the ball (we got him is own Tball set)
~ Eating your breakfast food even though he's got his own right in front of him (loves himself some grits and captain crunch)
~ Saying words you had no clue he could say and repeating it back to you (sounds of all the animals)
~ Wanting to wear shoes around the house all the time ( just like daddy)
~ Pulling laundry out of the dry to fold and then jumping in the warm pile of laundry out of the dryer

so what's next for the copy-cat... who knows!!!

And just for kicks... someone is a very messy eater and this is what happens after dinner time is over and the cleaning up starts... the clothes come off!

Almost 100% Better

Everyone is almost 100% better in our house. We came down again with the nasty stomach bug and it touched everyone in some way. Noah also had another ear infection. I think everyone is on the mends. Now it's off to sanitize the house once again to make sure no one else gets this nasty germ!

Mother's Day 2010

We had a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend in our family!
Noah and me... don't you just love his BIG grin! Those will melt your heart. He loves to smile from ear to ear.

We celebrate my mom's Mother's Day Saturday Evening with Taco's and cookies. The boys enjoyed hanging out and playing with one another. They are starting to play super good together!

Mom with her 2 fabulous daughters and grandson's.
Lastly on Sunday, we ventured up to K & W to surprise my Nana with a hello! She enjoyed all the company we think! Sunday night we went to Jeremy's sisters house to celebrate his mom. We had a wonderful cook out there! All n all it was a great weekend. Now we're settling back into life and getting the house organized!

Mother's Day 2010

Noah took me out for my Mother's Day on Friday and it was so nice. He got me tons of cool gifts... a beach bag, "B" name clip, and a pedicure!!!! He knows how to win his mom's heart. We took a picture outside of the restaurant and this is what happens when 2 people smile extremely cheesy! Attempting to get an 18 month old to smile can be difficult!

18 month check-up

Noah has his 18 month check-up today! Boy is he getting BIG and growing up so fast
Here's the stats:
Weight: 25 pounds, 4 ounces (45th percentile)
Height: 32 inches (45 th percentile)
Head: 48.25 cm (60th percentile)
Noah is on target for everything. The Doctor said he could have predicted those numbers to come. The Doctor was very impressed with Noah's vocabulary! A normal kid Noah's age should only be saying 7-10 words but Noah on the other can say so many we can't even count! He also said he gets around pretty good. He was all over the place in the Doctor's office. The only down side to the visit was we now have a referral to the ENT Doctor to look into Noah's multiple ear infections. We've had 4 in the past 6 months and it concerns the Doctor. Other then that, Noah is healthy!!!
Cheese look at me in my diaper!!!

And since this little dude had to get 3 shots today, I decided to let him have whatever he wanted for lunch and he could make the biggest mess he wanted.

As you can see Noah choose spaghetti noodles! The mess was not bad at all!!!

Busy Busy Busy!

Boy have we been busy in our house! Don't ask me what we're done but we barely have a second to sit down to relax these days.

I hosted a ladies night for our Sunday School Class last Friday and it went great! We had about 15 ladies over! We fellowshipped, ate, prayed and came up with some fun stuff to do in the future. There are going to be tons more ladies night to come!

Today, well it's raining outside but that does not stop an 18 month old from wanting to go outside. The brave mom I am, we decided to go play in the rain and Noah loved every minute of it. On the other hand we were wet from head to toe and I was cold! He did not want to come back indoors!
Check out Noah's new ride in the grocery store! It kept him occupied the entire time we were in there!!!
